#25 - Diego Sanchez

UFC Record (10-2)

The other TUF season 1 winner. Diego has amassed a a very nice 10-2 record in the UFC. He has quality wins over tough opponents in Nick Diaz, Joe Riggs, and Karo Parysian, but no true marquee win over an elite fighter. He lost his 2 most high profile fights against Jon Fitch and Josh Koscheck. Diego looks reinvigorated for a title run at Lightweight, and a title run there would go a long way in cementing him as one of the best UFC fighters ever.

Do you have a YouTube feed, by any chance? Are you that guy that wears the bandanna around his mouth as he gives his event picks?
Hi love, bye love, I will miss my love.

#24 - Forrest Griffin

UFC Record (7-3)

Forrest entered the UFC with the fight heard round the world, but no one was sure if he was actually a fighter. A razor thin decision loss to Tito Ortiz and a shocking win over Shogun Rua proved he was not only a legit fighter, but also a title contender. His victory over Rampage Jackson won him the Light Heavyweight title and cemented Forrest as one of the best fighters in UFC History.

#23 - Tim Sylvia

UFC Record (9-4)

Big Tim is a mixed bag, but there was a period of a couple years where he was the most dominate Heavyweight in the UFC. 9 wins and 2 title runs in the UFC speaks for itself, but so does the quality of the fighters he lost to (Arlovski, Couture, Mir, Nogueira). No shame in those loses. Sylvia may have fallen on hard times lately, but there was a time when he seemed all but unbeatable.

#22 - Rashad Evans

UFC Record (8-1-1)

Armed with 2 of the best KOs in UFC history (Sean Salmons and Chuck Liddell), Rashad has come a long way from being just a wrestler. His draw with Tito Ortiz made him a contender, but his wins over Chuck Liddell, Michael Bisping, and Forrest Griffin made him a star. Though he only kept the Light Heavyweight title for one fight, his record and quality wins leave no doubt as to his place on this list.

#21 - Oleg Taktarov

UFC Record (6-2-1)

The forgotten man of the early days of the UFC, Taktarov was one of the elite early fighters in UFC history. The champion of UFC 6 (Beating Tank Abbott in the finals), Oleg's only 2 losses in the UFC both came to Dan Severn. He sports wins over Tank Abbott and Marcos Ruas, and fought to a 30 minute draw with Ken Shamrock.

Uh. No. Most of his signature wins came outside the UFC. He was 6-4 in the UFC, but had no real landmark victories.

Umm.... Remember he knocked out Robbie Lawler. And his fight with Karo was very close and could have gone either way.

Lawler was a solid win, and yes, he had a lot of good fights. I am not saying the guy is a bum or anything, just that he does not have the resume to be on a top 25 list.

#20 - Andrei Arlovski

UFC Record (10-4)

Along with Sylvia, Arlovski was the face of the Heavyweight division for a handful of years. He had a great trilogy of fights with Sylvia and is among the leaders in total wins in the UFC. After starting his UFC career 1-2, the Pitbull reeled off 6 straight wins on his way to a title. He has impressive wins over the likes of Tim Sylvia, Vladimir Matyushenko, Paul Buentello, and Fabricio Werdum in the octagon. Arlovski was one of the big stars during the UFC's transition from 1,000 seat convention centers to 20,000 seat arenas.

#19 - Mark Coleman

UFC Record (6-4)

The Hammer was the first of many dominate wrestlers to emerge as UFC stars. Coleman took the UFC by storm, winning his first 6 fights and both the UFC 10 and UFC 11 tournaments. Few fighters have ever been as dominate as Coleman was at his peak, overpowering everyone, including Don Frye, Dan Severn, and Gary Goodridge. Coleman did not transition well from the sport evolving from style vs. style to mixed martial arts, losing his last 4 UFC fights headed into UFC 100. One thing is for sure though, there may never have been a more dominate fighter in UFC history than the Mark Coleman of UFC 10 and 11.

^ about Diaz,

I wasn't arguing for him to be on list, just pointing out he is not a bum.

I was watching MMA Live on ESPN earlier and they confirmed Nick Diaz and Joe Riggs will fight for vacant Strikeforce WW title on Carano/Cyborg card.

Diaz is a very good fighter. Had he beat Gomi in the UFC instead of Pride, then he might be on this list.

#18 - Frank Mir

UFC Record (10-3)

Frank Mir burst on to the scene as the guy who was going to revolutionize the Heavyweight division with a combination of size and skill that had not been seen before. He tore through the division and won the title by literally snapping Tim Sylvia's arm like a twig. Mir seemed unstoppable until a motorcycle accident left him injured and mentally broken. After a brief downswing, Mir burst back on the scene with wins over Brock Lesnar and "Minotauro" Nogueira. Another win over Lesnar at UFC 100 will further cement Mir as one of the UFC's all time best fighters.

Did cowboyronnie steal your screen name? :)

I think if we went by record Anderson Silva would be #1.

#17 - Lyoto Machida

UFC Record (7-0)

Machida has taken the UFC by storm, blitzing his way to the UFC title. Dominating wins over Tito Ortiz, Thiago Silva, and Rashad Evans leave no doubt as to his place on this list. With time, and more fights against contenders, he may very well go down as a top 5 UFC fighter of all time.
