At first glance, Cotto seems like the naturally bigger guy, the bigger puncher, and the more comfortable boxer at the higher weight. But this isn't the Miguel Cotto who was a terminator in 2005-2007. The jarring thing to me about the fight against Clottey was how tentative Cotto looked, aside from that big round 6 when Clottey took the round off. He hasn't been the same since Margarito plastered him last year.

My prediction: Manny dominates the fight and stops him within 7. I don't think Team Roach takes this fight, putting a potentially gargantuan Mayweather fight in jeopardy, unless he thinks he can come up with a strategy to not only win the fight, but make Manny look like an all-time-great in the process. Speed kills, and speed/power/skill destroys. Cotto is in for a rough night on 11/14.

I got Manny in this one, stops Cotto within 9. I had Clottey with the win vs Cotto.

It is the best fight that can be made outside of a Mayweather/Pacman fight.

You got to give both Manny and Cotto props... they never ducked anybody...

This is good. This will get me interested. I wonder if Cotto will be right in the head for this fight? That will make all the difference as to how good of a fight it will be. At least to me.

MANILA, Philippines – Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant expressed admiration and respect for Manny Pacquiao and vows to support the local boxing icon in his next fight.

Bryant and Pacquiao appear together in an upcoming commercial for Nike. Both are endorsers of the brand.

"I love him. I enjoy being with people that are as competitive. You can tell that just by watching him," said Bryant, who is making his third visit to Manila.

"Next fight, I will be there," he added, referring to Pacquiao's upcoming fight with Miguel Cotto.

Hey, that's a big piece of the pie with regards to celebrity fans

No way Pacquiao agreed to fight Cotto without getting the bigger share, which is what Yahoo and the LA Times are reporting. At 145, I wouldn't be surprised at something like 60-40 since he only got 52-48 for six minutes of work against Hatton.

Cotto's got a very bad habit of taking breaks during rounds, sometimes giving a bunch of them away in fights and this isn't just the Clottey fight with the cut. Pacquiao's going to beat him to the punch all night and keep the pressure on the entire fight when Cotto decides to take his breaks, which is something Cotto didn't deal with against Mosley and Clottey and something I feel Cotto won't be able to handle with his stamina and endurance issues. Cotto can't wait for Pacquiao to tire out like Mosley and Clottey did because let's face it...Pacquiao comes into the ring ready to fight the old fashioned 15. Cotto will get his shots, but Pac's ring awareness shined during his De La Hoya bout with those straight left-sidesteps. He also showed he knew how to control the ring during those later rounds and also that he couldn't be bullied in his last two fights. He also just keeps improving in every single fight, mainly due to that right coming along.

Pacquiao by late mid-late rounds stoppage, leaning more to TKO. I also said Pacquiao would win by SD against De La Hoya and KO mid-late rounds against Hatton.

I think I might be the only one on this board thats pulling for Cotto lol. Anyways I think if Cotto can keep hitting Manny with his powerful body shots, he should have a real good chance of winning. I don't think Manny has boxed anyone as strong as Cotto, so that should be an advantage for Cotto. And since everyone else is making predictions, I'm going to say Cotto knocks out Manny in the 9th round.

I don't think Pacquiao has a legitimate shot at winning an election until he's old and clearly can't fight anymore. The last time he ran, his opponent basically said "If Pacquiao wins, he won't fight anymore" and thats why he lost.

The fear is... Pacquiao has a VERY GOOD CHANCE of being voted in. Let's just say he moved to a weaker division compared to last time when he got beat... He's a candidate in a lesser known province (Saranggani i think that's a neighboring town of General Santos, where he lost) against a lesser known opponent. We really feel he will win this time...

BUT, he isn't retiring. For all the talk that he's very serious in helping people he also can't deny the fact that a fight or two will net him record money (one possibly vs. Mayweather) and he will go back to the ring for this. Just a little time off probably because of the election but come late 2010 he will go back to his career.

For the record, that was the toughest fight for the Pacman! It was a rude awakening and by analogy, i thought he lost in the 3rd or 4th rounds of that championship bout!

This could be a huge roadblock. Pacquiao wants to fight for the record 7th title in a 7th division. If Cotto doesn't want to put this on the line, Pacquiao could go after Mosley's WBA Title (Though I think they have like three champions in the welterweight division right now). If it's sanctioning fees Cotto doesn't want to pay, he should ask Arum to pay for it. I think Pacquiao wouldn't mind paying for it either. The WBO could also strip him of his title anyway since Pacquiao is the number 1 contender and make both of them fight for a vacant title (Holy crap, I'm actually referring to a major sanctioning body's contenders list).
