BJ Penn Says He Has Lost Respect For Kenny FlorianAs their bout at UFC 101 draws near, the rivalry between UFC lightweight champion BJ Penn and opponent Kenny Florian is heating up. Penn is angry at Florian because he says Florian sent him a text message calling UFC Welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre a "big roider and a greaser and stuff". Florian, a former contestant on the initial season of The Ultimate Fighter, denies he sent the text.

"Not only is he lying to me that he sent the email, but hes also lying to Georges," Penn said. He went on to say that he has lost respect for Ken-Flo.

All this comes before their highly anticipated fight, scheduled to take place at UFC 101: Declaration on August 8th in Philadpelphia, PA. The event will also feature a light-heavyweight clash between Anderson Silva and Forrest Griffin.

To me that sounds like BJ being a bitch.
Trying to rattle K-Flo, while taking public shots at GSP's reputation.
My respect for Penn is in the crapper.

I'll almost certainly never again have respect for him as a fighter and even as a person. Now shut up and go jump out of a pool or some ****.

I know there was some silly business over this a little while ago when they were starting to train I think, I am sure I remember reading/watching something about it.

I was really hoping that BJ would keep as quiet as possible (given that he will get asked/interviewed a a lot) and just look to get things done.

As for the fight, I really can't decide who I want to win, BJ I have a ton of respect for as a fighter, and I really like to see Kenflo do well. I think as long as its close, I'll be happy, don't really want to see either get beat quick or badly.

Im pulling for Kenny, but i'd bet on Penn.

Penn has always seemed like an arrogant, self serving prick to me.
I can handle being cocky, in fact i kind of like it, but smug kills me.

Haha i dunno. Ill always support Penn. I just find it funny that people see the guy as the devil or something. If GSP or some other beloved fighter said that Kenny sent them texts about BJ, fans would be up in arms saying how Kenny has to come clean.

Why would BJ lie? Since when has he lied? Ever? About what? What has he done to make you suspicious of his honesty?

Lets not mistake "you not liking him and his attitude" for "him not being an honest person."

He has no reason to lie about this, because if its just strictly trash talk, its not very good trash talk. Penn can do better. He is calling it like he sees it. People just don't like him, so he is a liar in their eyes.

And again, what makes you question Kenflo's honesty over BJ's? Especially when the dude just got finished training with GSP. One day Geroges is helping prepare Kenflo for his fight against BJ, but then the next as thanks kenflo calls up BJ and trashes Geroges? Makes absolutely no sense.

And, for crying out loud, BJ can't even decide if this all happened via text message or email. There is every reason to be suspicious of BJ at this point.

I like watching BJ fight, but his antics are getting pretty old.

What has he done to make me feel he is trustworthy? Simple. .. He doesnt lie. He calls it like he sees it.

About Grease Gate, BJ was saying what he believed. He believed the grease affected his game plan. Did he carry it on for too long? Yes. Does that make him dishonest. not at all.

The Ken Flo text is supposed to happen before the GSP fight happened. Way before he trained with him. Remember also, K-Flo accused Huerta of greasing after their fight. Huerta was training with GSP for that fight and was cornered by Greg Jackson. K-Flo has more of a reason to lie than BJ at this point.

And finally, making a simple mistake about it being an email/text is not damning evidence.

Whoa, i thought the text thing was recent. My stupid mistake. Sorry about that. Still, i stand by my general opinion.

Very good post overall. * Yeah that supposed text was like 2 -3 yrs ago. ** I remember that too.

Its all about hyping the fight, none of them were doign so guess till now. But they could of done better then this text msg crap.
