This should be a great fight. I can't wait.

But in other news the Lesnar/Carwin fight has been postponed once again, likely to UFC 109.

this should be an interesting fight. i will have to give this to big nog tho. velasquez hasn't had the time to prepare for a jiujitsu fighter like nog, and the fight will more than likely take place on teh ground

UFC got this one right. The winner of this fight will be the next in line for a title shot.

This is a awsome fight, I cant call it. Nog is such a crafty veteran with better stand up and subs, but Cain is far more athletic and the better wrestler. Both have warriors hearts should be a very violent fight. When Cain used to train with us I saw him break his nose sparring, the guy did not flinch for even a second, VERY tuff dude.

I think Nog's best days are behind him. Cain by TKO in the 2nd.

This fight had to happen for a decisive #1 contender.

That said it's really hard to pick a winner... similar to a Hendo vs Marquardt type fight.

After what I saw out of Cain I don't think I'll ever bet against him again though. So I take Cain.

Good fight for sure, but can't bet against Velasquez till he looses. But this is his first real competition outside of Kongo. Should be interesting.

I feel like this is one of those fights that looks tough to call, and then when it's finished, people are going to be like "how was this ever in doubt?"

Cain better not take Nog down.

I like Cain a lot, but I have to go with big nog in this one. I think it'll be a great fight, but right now I have to side with Nog's experience in this one. Although that might be wishful thinking, because I want to see Nog get a title shot and a win over cain should put him in position to face the winner of Brock/Carwin.

I think Cains a smart guy and don't mind listening to his interviews, but i hate his fighting style. The guy has no striking power, hes just a small heavyweight with a great motor and great wrestling that wins by sitting on guys for 3 rounds St.Pierre style. However, so far hes fought nobody good with a ground game or take down defense, and Big Nog has that as well as a great chin and boxing. Nog can finish this fight in so many ways and looks to be back to his old form, while Cains best chance is to squeak out a decision with takedowns or score another BS TKO call, so im gonna go with Big Nog on this one.

I also really hope Big Nog wins, cus hes one of few guys in the UFC who actually have a a shot against Lesnar. Cain has no shot against Brock, it would be like Brock is fighting his mini-me.

I don't want to see Nog fight anymore. He's getting into Saku territory. Whether he pulls out the late round sub or not, he's going to have to take a beating.

Nog has not looked great in the UFC. His stand-up looked really bad against Mir, Sylvia and even against Herring. He had to decision Heath, FFS. Against a freak athlete like Cain, he's going to get destroyed. Standing or on the ground.

You are forgetting the Nog vs Couture fight. Big Nog was lean and in the best shape of his UFC career. He out boxed Randy and his chin looked great, so did his ground game.

I'm definitely not tired of seeing Nog fight. Nog/Couture was one of the best fights I have seen.

You're under-rating Cain's speed at HW, I'll completely concede the point that he doesn't have huge power in his hands, but he is strong and with his speed and wrestling he can get a lot of shots in on bigger heavyweights and everyone knows those repeated blows to the head can end a fight.

That said I too think Nog just has too many weapons and too much experience right now for Cain and also would love to see Big Nog win and go on and give Lesnar a real test.

He was also healthy unlike the Mir fight which you could see since he was moving so much better. If Nog is really back, which I think he is after that Couture fight, he's the second best HW in the UFC and my number 3 HW world wide.

randy has the physique of a lhw not a carwin, brock, cain (the top 3 HWs)

randy was 1 out of 4 fights

what about the Herring fight? what about the Sylvia fight? he scraped by both and was getting absolutely tooled by Tim.

Cain is much more athletic and much more skilled on the ground than Sylvia. he's not going to catch him.
