Pacquiao is ducking me. = Mayweather Jr.

Post#1 » by tigerman » Wed Nov 18, 2009 7:31 am

Didn't Floyd Jr. duck Cotto, Margarito and Mosley before? Instead, he went after the smaller Hatton and Marquez. How ironic for him to speak up this way. I know he's a frustrated WWE wannabe so I'll probably give him a pass.

As for Manny not calling him out for a fight, Manny is just being Manny - humble. It is simply not in his character to talk ala-Floyd Jr.

Let the negotiations begin!

This is the only boxing match that matters and it needs to happen.

He should've, at one point or another, fought those three, Paul Williams, and Kermit Cintron. By retiring and opting to fight Marquez at 147 in his return, you could say he also ducked Pacquiao, Clottey, Berto, Quintana, and Collazo. I'm not saying he should've fought all of them, but at least three or four of them since 2006.

Haha what a joke. When Mosley interrupted Mayweather after the Marquez fight, he said "I'm going to talk to Al Haymon and Leonard Ellerbe, they're the ones who make the fights", which is basically what Pacquiao said (only substituting Hayon and Ellerbe for Arum).

And for the record, Pacquiao did say on Filipino TV after the Hatton fight that of the three top welterweights (Cotto, Marquez, and Floyd), he wanted to face Mayweather the most.

Well, it didn't take long for Pacquiao to respond.

Reporter: For the record, do you want to fight Mayweather?
Manny: For the record, yeah.
