I think the best have to be:

Rampage Jackson
Shogun Rua

Both fighters get referred to as their nick names as if its whats on their birth certificate, while a lot of other fighters obviously get mentioned by their nick name, these two literally live by it.

The worst ones for me are:

Twinkle Toes (Trigg) - Just awful, simply awful.
"Darth" Bader - Plain doesn't work.
Daddy Stevenson - Really dislike this one
Ace Franklin - Just because he looks a little bit like him? which he doesn't, we'd be better off calling Kenny Florian Zoolander.

Come on guys, no mention of Cro Cop, and only one mention of The Axe Murderer? Bad showing!

Those two are good, and i generally prefer the not too showy ones like Rush or Spider as well.

Not MMA, but I've always loved Remy Bonjasky's The Flying Gentleman. So much so i totally ripped it off and made it my new handle recently.

Me > originality.

People think "The Dean of Mean" is a good knickname? Really?

Rampage, Shogun, The Axe Murderer, The Prodigy, The Spider, etc are clearly some of the best.

Some I think are good that haven't been mentioned yet:

Joachim "Hellboy" Hansen
Tatsuya "Crusher" Kawajiri
Rousimar "Toquinho" Palhares (no clue what it means, but I think it sounds cool)
Junior Dos Santos "Cigano" (another one I just think sounds cool, though I think it's because he looks like some Brazilian soap star or something, which brings it down a notch)
Vitor "Shaolin" Ribeiro
"Sugar" Rashad Evans (not too original, but I like it)
"The Phenom" Vitor Belfort
Nate "The Rock" Quarry
Chris "Lights Out" Lytle
MINOWAMAN!!

Worst:
Tito "The Huntington Beach Bad Boy" Ortiz
Krzysztof "The Polish Experiment" Soszynski
Ben "Killa B" Saunders
Dustin "McLovin" Hazelett
