Post#1 » by damo[23] » Wed Jan 13, 2010 10:57 pm

Just seen a couple of additions to the under card for 110, couldn't see an offical thread so thought I'd get one started.

Link to the offical UFC site and card details:

Heavyweight Bout: Mirko Filipović vs. Ben Rothwell

PRELIM:

Light Heavyweight bout: Elvis Sinosic vs. Chris Haseman
Light Heavyweight Bout: Stephan Bonnar vs. Krzysztof Soszynski
Middleweight Bout: C.B. Dollaway vs. Goran Reljic
Welterweight Bout: Chris Lytle vs. Brian Foster

This is a very solid card. Especially considering it is an overseas one.

For an "overseas" card I think its a pretty good one. It has a fairly solid main card, but also a good depth on the prelims as well, with a few fights that actually mean something, in one way or another.

Nog vs Cain looks to build up that 3rd contender outside of Mir/Carwin potentially. Wand looks to relight his career properly at MW, Bisping looking to get himself back on track towards the top. Crocop and Rothwell looking to get themselves back into the mix in the HW division, potential cut for the loser here maybe?

The GS vs Stevenson fight is an interesting litmus test for GS. I rate him as a fighter, and this is the first time he's stepping up against one of the more accomplished LW's in the UFC, certainly looking forward to that fight.

I think thats a really good undercard as well.

Also, for once I should be able to watch this live as it will be on nice and early in the morning for me, though I don't think beer with cornflakes will be appropriate for this one.

I think it's a little gross to have Wanderlei, Nog and Cro Cop still fighting. I really don't want to see anyone of them take another beating..._yet_ another beating. 2 out of the 3, if not all 3, will prove themselves shot...and this is not a sport where you're found-out in a gentle manner.

Some of the B fighter match-ups are great, I'll admit. Some really interesting, competitive matches between established names and guys on the verge.
Hi love, bye love, I will miss my love.

-The Stevenson/Sotiropoulos might be overlooked when you see at the other big names. However both guys looked very good in their last fights.

-I hope Cro Cop can get a win. From what I've read he is as motivated as ever after considering retirement. However if he loses he should retire.

-I want to Wanderlei come back with a huge KO. I have a feeling Bisping will win though.

-Nog/Cain will tell us two things. If Cain really can hang with the top tier of guys and if Nog still has it.

Can't wait for this card, 109 would of been good if Vera and lil Nog were still on it. But this card is money worth.

For anyone that does not know, this event (and Abu Dhabi) will NOT be on tape delay. It will be live from Australia.

This is one of those cards where every fight could easily go either way.

Velasquez
Wanderlei
Sotiropoulos
Bader
Cro Cop (don't let me down!)
