ABOUT TIME.

Well its official. Its a pretty uncharacteristically risky move by PBF but props to him. This is the number 2 fight out there in my book after Pac-Money so I'm happy to see this actually get done.

Should be a great fight. Both guys present problems for each other. May is the fastest/best defensive fighter Mosley has ever seen and Mosley brings a combination of power and speed (although we'll see how much is left) that May hasn't faced. Hopefully the welterweight fights turn into an unofficial tournament and the winner of this gets the winner of Pac-Clottey.

Prediction:
Mayweather UD

I for one was one Mayweathers biggest critics / biggest fan of his talent.
I for one will not say anything about him dodging fighters after this and give him credit for taking the fight.
I still expect a Mayweather UD as well.

Mosley's gonna be close to 39 years old @ fight time... now I'm not a boxing purist by any stretch, but at that age, if floyd beats him does that really prove anything? In my mind, if he was going to fight mosley and have it mean something, it had to happen a good couple years ago at the latest. He needs to fight somebody good (check) and in there prime to begin to seperate himself from that perception IMO.

^^^
I think the opinion of Mayweather is so bad (partyly his fault and party exaggerated to a certain degree.) that any fighter who has half a chance of beating him is considered proving something.
I mean he is probably the most gifted fighter at this present time and the idea that he has not fought anybody within his weight is a jk.
Shane Mosley is still a very good fighter and the fight should atleast silence critics for awhile. (even though if he does make it look easy, people will start considering mosleys age)

I read on ESPN the other day that Mayweather still has not signed on for this fight.

Old news, he signed yesterday.

It says a lot about Mayweather that people are making a big deal about him actually facing one of the top fighters in the sport.

But props to him. Shane is 39 but he still a good fighter and a great name for his resume.

Mosley is 39 like Randy Couture is 46. He's been fastidious with his health like no one else in the sport. Hormone therapy, steroids (oops!), mechanical cardio stuff, etc.

This fight should have happened about 5 yrs or so(give or take). Will still be a good fight.

I have Mayweather via UD (sets up fight with Pacman, If Clottey does not get the upset).

Yeah but with boxing... you can get old really quick.... esp with a younger fighter across you ready and willing to hit you.

I'll make an official prediction closer to the fight but I'm leaning SD or UD for Mayweather.

So Pu$$y boy Floyd is fighting a fighter that he should have faught 3-5 years ago and people are saying that he is the man of balls now? Wow. Being flashy does get you hyped up. Its kind of sad that Mosley haad to wait this long. By legistics, younger fighter should win this match against someone close to 40. My question is what happens if a 39 year old Mosley knocks Pu$$y boy floyd out?

If you're not old, you don't get old. It's unbelievable how much care he's taken with his body.

I think Shane is better now than he was 3-5 years ago. 8 years ago is a different story but Floyd wasn't really a viable option then. I think the 38 years-old thing is a non-issue. This fight is legit and Floyd does deserve a little less flack for dodging opponents.
