Bragging rights predictions *Spoilers included*

So bragging rights is this Sunday. I think this whole concept is kind of stupid. Its just another example of the WWE unwilling to admit the mistakes they made with the Invasion angle. They need to stop acting like Smackdown vs Raw is comparable to WCW vs WWF. In that circumstance the battle lines were clearly drawn but here the majority of fans will eb cheering for the faces regardless of what brand they belong to. Rant aside, here are my predictions:

Raw Divas: Kelly, Gail Kim, Melina vs Smackdown divas Michelle McCool, Beth Phoenix and Natalya
Who was placed in this match should be a dead give away about who wins this match. The fact that Jillian who is scheduled to get a push is excluded from the Raw team in favor of Kelly or that McKie James is excluded from the Smackdown team in favor of Natalya was done to have a purely face vs heel match. And the faces will win.
Winner: Team Raw

John Morrison vs The Miz
I don't really care who wins but I'm really hoping that these guys are able to put on a top-notch match because I think both of them, Morrison especially but Miz as well have huge potential in this company. If I were to make a prediction I'd say Miz wins through some sort of cheating and boasts about this win for the next year or so until they end up on the same show together.
Winner: The Miz

Punk vs Batista vs Rey vs Undertaker
I think there are two questions about this match. One, who wins and the answer to that will be either Punk or Taker. The second is will Batista finally turn heel as it seems like they've been teasing that for some time now. It seemed like Punk losing that first time was punishment so I'm guessing its lessons learned and he'll get his title back. As for the other aspect I'm guessing Batista does finally turn heel.
Winner: CM Punk

John Cena vs Randy Orton
Cena is not leaving Raw. The big question for me is how will Orton lose, will it be via Dibiase?
Winner: John Cena

Team Smackdown vs Team Raw *Spoiler Alert* If you don't want Smackdown spoilers please stop reading.
So 5 of the 7 members of Team Smackdown were replaced. Cryme Tyme, Eric Escobar, Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre were replaced with Matt Hardy, the Hart Dynasty, R-Truth and Finlay. I have to admit I'm not a fan of the switch. I think the only full upgrade is Matt Hardy over Escobar. This is too big of a mtch for this guy. But I think replacing Ziggler with Finlay and McIntyre with R-Truth were bad decisions. I don't really care what team wins, I'm hoping that the last man standing is one of the young guys so he can get a rub off of this. I'm guessing that's not what happens. I'm guessing Team Smackdown wins after Big Show turns on opne of the DX guys leaving Jericho standing and setting up a DX vs JeriShow feud.
Winner: Team Smackdow and Chris Jericho is last man standing.

I have to think that Dibiase will play a part in Orton losing, and end up setting up a feud between he and Orton. Since this is supposedly the end of the Cena/Orton rivalry, that would be a nice way to give Dibiase a push and keep Orton relevant as one of the main draws on Raw. I'd be pretty happy about it myself because as I've said on here before I think that Ted has a lot of potential as a singles star.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least if Cena lost and went to Smackdown. I thought there was no way he would lose at Hell in a Cell and yet he did. It would be nice if the title wasn't changing hands every 3 or so weeks.

I can't overstate this, it would be the most surprising thing I've seen WWE do in years. If you want a specific event, I'd probably say since they brought in Bischoff. Raw is their flagship show and Cena's there biggest draw seperating those two would be a complete shock.

Couldn't agree more. Love him or hate him, Cena is the biggest bread winner in the WWE. No way they ship him over to their stepson show. Scenario...

A- Cena wins (with help from Dibiase), they get to end the feud between Cena and Orton while successfully starting a new feud with Dibiase and Orton. This puts Dibiase over finally, sparks a new angle on the show, and keeps Cena on Raw.

B- Cena loses, they end the feud between him and Orton, lose their biggest star to their B-team, and that's pretty much it.


I'm saying the likelihood of scenario A happening is FAR greater than scenario B

The only thing that gives me pause is that it is so obvious, the fact that the booking seems so obvious could lead Vince and co. to try to surprise us. They had a great idea with the Jeff Hardy stalker angle and it being revealed as Christian but the fact that it got leaked forced them to make what has clearly been shown to be a bad decision. The fact that everyone assumed Cena will win could lead them to overreact and give Orton the win. But I can't believe Vince is that reactionary.

Something that I could see happening would be Dibiase not even really "interfering" in the match, but possibly distracting Orton, so that Cena could set up one last finisher for the final pinfall in the ironman match. However it goes down, I'm just excited to see the results. I really hope Vince and co. tries to put over Dibiase, like I thought they were going to do this summer.

I was 3 out of 5 on my predictions although I should get half credit for the Batista heel turn although by that same logic I should be reduced half because of the lack of a Dibiase turn

Taker retaining didn't shock me, this feud should go on another month culminating with hopefully a Punk win at Survivor Series.

The 7-on-7 result was the obvious but right result. They've been slowly building a DX-Jerishow feud and its what everyone wants to see. Personally I hope they hold off on that and we see team dx vs team Jerishow at survivor series.

Obviously I'm not surprised by Cena winning. But I am surprised by how it happened. I'm curious where these guys go now. Does Orton blame Legacy for the lack of interference? Who does Cena feud with, I know what I'd like to see but its a little out-of-the-box and they won't do it.

I was pretty upset about the lack of a Dibiase turn. The Cena/Orton match was one of the most entertaining matches I've seen in a while. I'm really hoping they don't do the Jerishow/DX feud, although that's what will most likely happen. I just don't find either side to be all that entertaining anymore.

I am OTOH a big fan of the Orton-Kingston feud. I'm always a fan of pushing the young guys and making new stars and this feud could take Kofi into a new stratosphere.

I'm definitely a fan of the Kofi/Orton angle. I've been a fan of Kofi for a while now, as he's one of the few Raw superstars that is actually exciting to watch in the ring.
