Seems like a boring PPV although I like Mercury in the SEC

Did anyone else hear this mightve been Batistas last match?

The SES is expanding, nice.

They should have used that spot on a heel NXT wrestler.

I watched the PPV this morning and you really couldn't tell if it was Mercury for sure. Guy had the same build, but they never actually showed his face or anything. You could see that the person had their head shaved completely.

Overall, I thought the card was pretty solid other than a couple of matches. Surprisingly, I wasn't really entertained by the Edge/Jericho match, until Jericho started basically crying for Edge to stop. I thought the Triple H/Sheamus match was REALLY weak, especially to have been billed as a "street fight".

Pleasantly surprised by the Shad/JTG match, the Beth/Michele match, and the Mysterio/Punk match (I'm not a fan of Mysterio's work these days).

It wasn't Riley. Riley is tall, he's 6'4, there's no way that guy was 6'4.

Mercury's wikipedia page says he re-signed with WWE and made his debut at ER. But that could have just been due to the speculation stemming from last night.

It doesn't make a whole lot of sense for it to be him. He had that drug problem, and you could always tell it wasn't going to be him that emerged from MNM. Why not use a young up and coming guy? That way you could have him eventually break away and feud with Punk.

Well we'll likely find out if it was Mercury or not in a little more than an hour. I have a feeling that CM Punk and the SES are going to be drafted to Raw. No way in hell they're going to build a faction up only to have it on the "sister" show Smackdown.

I get what you're saying but the fact that this storyline has some real life qualities with Mercury improves it IMO. Plus this can be used to put Punk into a feud with Mercury. Also, they could put Mercury in a tag team with Gallows which is always a good thing IMO

Ehhh IDK about that..

Mercury: I am a recovering addict, and I am now straight edge.
Crowd: BOOOOOOOOOOOOO

 That can't be good for him. Nor is it the message wwe wants to send.

That's what this whole straight edge schtick is all about. These guys are drug and alcohol addicts and CM Punk "saves" them. He'd be doing the same for Mercury
