Mattel Announces Randy Savage Action Figure; Airs Video Message From Savage

Mattel announced during today’s San Diego Comic-Con International event that both Randy Savage and Ultimate Warrior had been signed by the company to take part in their “WWE Defining Moments” wrestling action figure line.

In an even bigger shocker, Savage cut a classic “Macho Man” promo hyping his upcoming action figure at the event via video message. While video has yet to surface of Savage’s promo, images have. You can view photos taken of Savage’s video message at the event, as well as the action figure itself, here.

This would be the first WWE produced Randy Savage action figure since the early nineties when the company was working with Hasbro.

Awesome, hopefully this means that McMahon will finally put this guy in the HOF.

I think it's leading to that. Though they usually only headline the hall of fame with one big name, and I think this next spot is going to the ultimate warrior. Would be great if they changed things and had two big name inductees though, and put macho man in.

One of my favorites of all time.

they both deserve it but i think it be better that they each get there own big momment

They did have a pretty solid rivalry in the early 90's, so if they induct them at the same time that could be pretty cool. I'm really surprised that the Ultimate Warrior is being inducted though. Didn't think he and Vince were on very good terms, and from watching the documentary "The Self Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior", it doesn't seem like there were many people in the industry that had a lot of respect for the guy.

I agree I think they both deserve they're own momment. I think WWE will do that, cuz they would like to hold off and have one star headline the show.

Wow, those figures are incredible. They have some ridiculous detail on them. I still love all the figures I had when I was a kid, but these ones are insane.

I used to love my wrestling figures as a kid. Hell I even had the rubber ones back from the early 80s that didn't even move. Every Friday when I got my allowance I would beg my mom to take me to Toys R' Us so I could get a new one. The ones that are being made today are ridiculously detailed and realistic looking.

^ Oh man I know exactly what you guys are talking about. I recently moved and started going through my stuff and saw my action figures. I would go do Toys R Us and Wal Mart every weekend hoping they came in with new stuff.

Yeah exactly. I have close to 200 wrestlers probably. Even the rock solid WCW ones that you couldn't move any limbs on and even if you tried you'd probably break the arm clean off. Still have Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Luger and Surfer Sting from that generation, and just tonsss of the 80's WWF figures. I have quite a few of the 90's ones from the Attitude era, too, but they were a lot bigger than all the 80's ones so after that I remember kinda losing interest in them because I could put them all in a match. :lol:

I can still remember my JBL figure from when he was still Justin Hawk Bradshaw - I gave him a spiked piledriver off the top rope with Lawler on to the steel steps outside the ring and his head broke clean off. :lol:

One of my legit mark outs while playing with those damn things.

Macho Man is my all time favorite wrestler. I dont collect figures any more, but i would be tempted to get those.

Ha, yeah. I don't buy the WWE DVD's they do, because I can just catch them online, or matches I want to see online. but I bought macho mans. I might be tempted to buy this as well.
