Angle was pure gold. The guy was great in the ring, excellent with the mic, and his facial expressions were priceless. But as far as actual "gimmicks", then the classics probably win out, such as the early Taker, Jake the Snake, etc.

But I'd like to throw out a name/character/gimmick that hasn't been mentioned yet....Owen Hart as the jealous brother to Bret.

Yep, according to wikipedia. Cliff Levingston just remembers watching that guy and wondering how he could be in the WWF. He wasn't good.
