Punk vs. Austin at WM28, could it happen?

Reading through my twitter timeline and noticed this little exchange from Punk and Stone Cold (they're 2 of the 4 wrestlers I actually follow, including Jericho and Nash).

That's it so far. Are they just teasing us to get the fans riled up or are they planting the seed for a feud? Maybe the text came from Austin like sh00n suggested!?! That would be so badass.

they've been teasing it for a while now...seems like a strong possibility.
With Bill Goldberg contemplating a return and ideally wanting his final match with SCSA, SCSA can create a lot of hype and buys for PPVs with a return, Rock/Cena, Austin/Punk, could be a passing of the torch thing...Ideally though, I would wish for a Jericho/Punk feud for WM, both incredible on the mic, both good in-ring workers, and have similar in-ring styles and physiques to make a five star match

as for Punk-Y2J, doesn't matter if it transpires later than WM, as long as it happens. I don't mind seeing that feud for the whole 2012.

Yeah i saw an interview recently that Austin said if he came back he would like his last match vs Punk. Tried finding it on youtube but no dice.

As for Mania this year. Let's also not forget about Triple H. Theres no way he will sit this Mania out.

I love the idea, but Wrestlemania, to me, seems to be such a prestigious event...Something that shouldn't have a stipulation attached to the entire event.

I would do it as a one night only type of PPV. But given the high probability of it making a ton of money, WWE definitely won't make it an one night only type of thing.

I like Mick Foley but I would not have him wrestle at the event if you want him to do one more match thing do it the other ppv not the biggest ppv of them all. You can still have him on the event but not to wrestle have him make a surprise appearance, or have a segment with him with some young talent to put that young talent over to set up a feud, or special guest referee.

As for Punk/Austin yeah rumors heated up about that I remember I watch the video with Austin, who knows it may happen. Say this rumor is true, and it happens I could see next year card look like this for WM

nothing can top that card! the succeeding WM's will probably be boring. Put Sheamus and the others that were left off to some kind of a Battle Royal, have the Tag Champs, and US be defended so they can be relevant on the biggest stage of them all.

Is the Undertaker planning on retiring after Wrestlemania? A match with Barrett just seems odd to think it would be his last match. People have complained about how lousy Wrestlemania has been lately so it would be nice to see some compliments. I just hope they focus more on the wrestling than they have lately.

Punk was a guest on the MMA Hour last week and he was asked who his WM opponent would be. Punk said that if it was up to him it would be Austin. He went on to say how Austin is "too busy or so he says he is" and that Austin doesn't think he's in the same league. He said that things have changed and that this is his league now.
