No, I think I'd make a distinction there. What lucosa basically described is ring psychology and among current heels, I'd say Slater is second only to Punk. Ziggler is good in that area, he's gotten a lot better but I don't know if he's caught up to Slater there.

I'll throw in my 2 cents:

Bryan
---
Ziggler
Punk
Cena
Sheamus
---
Christian
Orton
Del Rio
---
Kidd
Slater

Separated into tiers. Bryan is the only guy on the roster who can consistently have a very good match with literally anyone. Punk's best match this year (and maybe his WWE career) was against Bryan; Ziggler's best match of his career was against Bryan, and Sheamus's best match of his career was against Bryan. Not a coincidence.

I rewatched the HIAC match today and it wasn't as decent as I initially thought. It was way short for what was supposed to be an epic match (which is simply a product of Ryback not having the endurance to go longer than 10-15 minutes at this point in his career -- part of the reason why I don't like the idea of him being The Guy) and the finish, although it makes sense in several ways, is extremely unsatisfying for a HIAC match. I will concede that that is more due to the stupid gimmick PPV where they don't have the option to have a regular match. On top of that I really don't care for the whole no-selling thing that monsters do; it's okay if it's a punch, but it's not when it's 5 shots from the WWE champ with a shinai. This is not the Undertaker we're talking about. Ryback is super-strong, not super-human. I was impressed with his ability to wear less RVD-ish ring attire, however.

Show/Sheamus, on the other hand, still rules the school. What a great match.

Oh, regarding the Divas match, it was no Mickie/Trish, but perfectly watchable for a Divas match in 2012. Probably one of the better ones this year, actually.
