It's only for current gen which sucks because it would have been awesome to have this unique
roster and 30 years of Wrestlemania mode for the next gen.

I'm playing it right now for the first time and these graphics are inexcusable even for current gen.
Already can't wait for 2K15 on next gen.

I haven't played and have only seen a few videos of gameplay, but I immediately noticed that Warrior was extremely cartoonish.

I couldn't help myself. I just went and bought the game for ps3. Now it looks like I'll be stuck in the house for the next four to five hours.

EDIT:

Had to do it...

I didn't know that DB was on the flipside of the litho, heh. I haven't got around to the WM mode yet, I always create my character first and build his moveset. About 2hr into the game I finally was able to play my first match in Universe mode. It's ok, the rivalry thing is interesting. I just wish the game designers would realize that the majority of us just want a better story mode. I don't care about reliving the attitude era or 30yrs of WrestleMania, I want a good story mode, dammit.

One cool thing I just saw is that if you have a FINISHER and throw your opponent into the corner, the screen will flash "OMG" and if you press your finisher button, you'll do a suplex to the outside of the ring. Thought that was pretty sick. You can also do the same thing if they are on the apron outside the ropes and your standing in the ring w/ your Finisher, you go through the ropes and DDT them onto the apron. It's pretty cool.

This game sucks. The sound is terrible. The crowd is dead and the commentary would be better if it didn't exist at all. One of the many reasons matches feel completely lifeless. Especially during the Wrestlemania mode where there are more cut scenes than there is actual game play.

Speaking of game play and things about this game that totally suck. Wrestlers don't grapple every time they want to perform a move in "real life". In a wrestling game, you should be able to walk up to a semi-groggy opponent and quickly scoop slam him or DDT him on command. Maybe a quick snap suplex or a side russian leg sweep to set him up for some ground attacks. The matches should feel more fast-paced and life-like. Instead, everything you do in this game feels like a chore. Nailing finishers isn't even satisfying.

THQ/Yukes has never been able to capture the essence of what you see on TV. There are some things they do well, but to me, it isn't enough, especially considering how similar the past 4 or 5 games were. Hopefully 2K will assign a different studio to develop these games in the future. I expect a huge improvement on next-gen systems.

I absolutely can not beat The Rock on the final Wrestlemania moment match. I can get through all of the historic moments in the match, but once it gets to the end and you have to hit him with an AA and win by pinfall I can never execute the AA without him reversing it and hitting me with a Rock Bottom. Is there some secret to this that I don't know?

It took me a little bit but I got him. I don't know if this helps at all but what I find to help is making him tap out outside the ring. After that it seems as if there reversal rate is way lower.

I figured out that if you do a grapple and then hit the triangle for the finisher The Rock won't reverse it. If you try to do the finisher without the grapple, he'll reverse it every time.

I'll have to remember that when I go for the Undertaker streak trophy of beating him with 10 diff guys.

Imagine 2K actually putting this kind of effort into the next-gen version of the next WWE 2K game. I'd be hooked.

I remember reading a quote that the 2K team plans on making the WWE games just like this. Apparently with WWE 2K14, their hands were tied because the game was already half done.
