Glad to hear that Warrior's death has been classified as "due to natural causes". TMZ is reporting he died of a heart attack and alcohol or drugs were not involved. **** you Nancy Grace!

Eh...he died due to heart disease, which was probably contributed by steroid use. I agree with **** Nancy Grace but it still sucks to lose another wrestler at such a young age because of drug use.

Pretty cool link, with a few things I had never heard about Warrior's career.

I don't think he was ever accused of being a heavy drinker or recreational drug user, but I do suspect it'll come out that he had an enlarged heart likely due to prolonged steroid use, for a guy that took all opportunities to judge his peers on their self-destructive ways he should have looked in the mirror, bodybuilding really can be a rather sick perversion of "healthy living", not to mention all his rhetoric of pushing oneself to the brink in order to reach one's potential, I believe he said something to that effect in his HOF speech. Loved Warrior growing up and have many fond memories, but in his motivational speeches he should have mentioned the side effects that we now see.

This is another good one from the same site: http://whatculture.com/wwe/ultimate-war ... -feuds.php

I never knew where the name "Dingo Warrior" came from, nor did I know where the face paint came from. Now I do!

Yup, i think so as well.
I watched a documentary about the WWE drug program/steroid use not long ago, and one expert said something a long the lines that his 'daughter could find the loops holes in it'.
Now, it's probably improved since the show do to all the pressure, but the question is how much?

I am guessing still a very large % are still juicing today and the ones that actually get caught are morons.

If the WWE cared like they say they do, then they need to do Olympic style testing.

You can still take steroids as long as you have a prescription for it, the wellness program then monitors your health to mitigate the side effects. There are legitimate (albeit controversial) medical reasons for taking them, such as Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) for those with low testosterone levels (which could be caused by years of taking steroids) but TRT is something the UFC recently had outlawed by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, but this is still valid in the wellness policy I believe. Steroids and growth hormone also have anti-aging effects which some doctors will prescribe for. I'm fairly certain Vince, Hunter, etc. probably benefit from this.

If you haven't watched the documentary on the network yet, I strongly advise you do so. It's very well done. It's called The Ultimate Legend.

So I got around to watching the Warrior documentary. As I've pretty clearly stated in this thread I wasn't the biggest fan of the guy.

As a piece of film making its tremendous, especially when you take into account that this was supposed to be a full length documentary coming out months from now. Definitely in the top 5 of the ones they've done right up there with the Bret Hart, CM Punk and ECW DVD's. Kind of an interesting angle that it took, they talked a little bit about his early career the stuff with Sting and his early stuff in WCCW and a good bit about his WWE career. But, and this might be a criticism of the movie as a lot was glossed over with minimal attention paid to it, it seemed like the majority of it was focused on Warrior repairing his relationship with WWE. You saw him go to Stamford, meet with HHH, meet with some marketing people. Saw him meet with some people backstage at the Hall of Fame. For someone like me who was not, is not and never will be the biggest fan of the guy his family is the almost sole reason I felt any level of sadness about his death. I honestly think that if he was a bachelor I really wouldn't have cared. And seeing some of the behind the scenes footage with his children only increased the sympathy I have for them. You always see politicians with there children on stage and usually those children look so detached like on that stage is literally the place they want to be on the face of the earth. But those kids looked so proud to be on there dad's arm and so proud to see the adulation he was receiving.

There were some things that I found rather interesting. HHH had a really big part in this, he spoke a lot and he was the person that Warrior met with when he went to Stamford. In the self-destruction DVD I don't remember seeing a lot of him but he did have a very memorable scene talking about his WM match when he called him an ass**** and one of the most unprofessional guys he's ever worked with. Vince McMahon saying he didn't know what growth hormone was in 1992, was utterly ridiculous. They showed him and Hogan talking backstage at the Hall of Fame and I thought that was really awkward. Hogan was apologizing profusely and taking the blame for everything, whatever Hogan did Warrior said some of the worst things I have ever heard anyone say about someone and Warrior made the most nominal apology. And when they talked about the Self-Destruction DVD, when they did the Bret Hart DVD Bret was still not fully back into the fold yet. And so when they got to the part about the Montreal Screwjob, they laid out what happened, Bret said what he wanted to say, Shawn and Vince said what they wanted to say and that was that. And I thought that take enhanced the film. They didn't do that at all really in this movie. Warrior gave his thoughts about the DVD and Vince said something but there weren't others they largely let Warrior say what he wanted to say and leave it at that. While I think it would've enhanced the film to see a more balanced take, its understandable why that didn't happen. This was literally a week after he passed, I think if they'd done this as planned with a fall release date and Warrior was still alive I think we probably would've seen a more balanced take.

That was also my main complaint about it, the lack of development of the whole story. I still found it to be very cool, and a nice tribute. Definitely could have been better had they not rushed it out, but I understand why they did.
