I feel that the RAW and SmackDown rosters are so deep that they could easily feature new stars while not over exposing their top tier talent. It would also help that if the main roster ever cared about anything other than the lead storyline...

Meltz Ratings for Takeover (usually i wouldn't post these but bugger it, a 5 star rating is a 5 star rating).

Undisputed Era vs. AOP 3.5

Velveteen Dream vs. Kassius Ohno 2.75

Ember Moon vs. Shayna Baszler 2.75

Aleister Black vs. Adam Cole 4.25

Andrade Almas vs. Johnny Gargano 5

Almas and Gargano is the first 5 star match Meltzer has given in 7 years. Granted it is one mans opinion (i do think Nakamura v Zayn was really unlucky to miss out on it as well as DIY vs Revival).

Didn't he give Omega and Okada six stars last year?

Or were you just referring to WWE matches?

That stat is for WWE, yeah. Last was Punk-Cena I believe.

Okay. Makes more sense, then.

I think there's been at least a few NXT matches the last two years that deserved it, though. Bate/Dunne II, Zayn/Nakamura, and one or two tag matches were all up there. Gargano/Ciampa from round one of the CWC was damn close too. That match was phenomenal.

Sasha-Bayley. I agree with all the matches on your list.

Yeah, Sasha/Bayley as well.

On the main roster, I think Owens/Cena was close (their first match). Owens/Zayn from Battleground was pretty close too.
