Favorite moveset.

Post#1 » by WRau1 » Fri Feb 2, 2018 12:43 am

Which current wrestler has your favorite moveset and why? I'm going to go with Roderick Strong. His knee strikes along with all the backbreakers outta nowhere, End of Heartache finisher and now his use of the Stronghold (Lion-Tamer) submission. Kenny Omega would be a close second followed by Aleister Black. I really like Strong, though.

I like Zayn's move set a lot. That flying turnbuckle DDT is one of the best moves I've ever seen.

Old Randy Orton. Obviously he has the RKO, but the quick powerslam and the reverse backbreaker are beautiful. And the punt and stomping on every body part.

That and Chad Gable's O'Connor roll transitioned into a bridging German suplex - very similar to the move Doug Williams used to use in TNA.

Kanyon/Mortis if we're talking older wrestlers.

I like babyface Cesaro. All the uppercuts and different ways to do it (charging them outside of the ring, tossing them in the air, running against the turnbuckle etc.), sharpshooter, the swing, super strength suplexes, etc.

Actually now tha tI think of it, even though I don't like his matches that much, Sheamus movement is very pretty nice as well with the Brogue, 10 Beats, White Noise, Cloverleaf etc.

Cruisers: Ricochet
206-230: AJ (My favorite range with Seth, Bryan, and Zayn also in it)
235 to 250 range: Cesaro
Above 250: Kevin Owens

This is just due to the "5 Moves of Doom" principle, but having high impact movesets in succession like a Superplex into the Falcon Arrow is such a waste if the opponent is going to kick out of it.

I'm putting Rollins, Owens, and Ziggler here btw. Their moves are so diverse and unpredictable until finish. Not a knock on the following but you know a Spear and a Swanton are coming after a Superman Punch and a Twist of Fate.

Styles, Bryan, Rusev (because we only get to see him now) are a close second.
