Match of the Year - Voting Extended until December 31st

Hello, all! I watched less wrestling this year than I have since 2009. I'm very interested to see which matches under the WWE umbrella are the consensus best of 2018. I have my list, but I'm sure I have some blind spots.

I was hoping we could, together, come up with a list of the top 20 matches.

Here's what I'd like you to do: pm me a list of your top matches of the year, minimum 10, maximum 20. You can consider any match from January 1st to December 7th.

The deadline to submit is December 15th at midnight EST. On December 17th I will reveal 20 and 19, and then continue with two reveals a day until we get to the top match.

If you would like to include a write up that summarizes and explains why you included a match, I would be happy to post it with the reveal. Totally optional though.

Feel free to post reminders of matches we may have forgotten in the thread, just make sure you dont reveal your list or where any match ranks on your list.

Alright, but why is the deadline on the 15th when TLC is on the 16th? Lol

I wanted to avoid recency bias and only include matches that everyone has had a while to think about.

is it limited to WWE, can i include other promotions (New Japan, Impact etc).

Just WWE. It gets too messy when other promotions are considered. Great matches are left off simply because others haven't watched them. I know that most of us have at least watched the WWE stuff this year.

I'm happy to extend the deadline if there's interest. I was hoping more people would be into contributing a list.

I have four super interesting lists so far. Would love to get at least 4 more.

My list is 75% NXT. Fifteen NXT matches to five main roster matches, and one of those was a cruiserweight match.

What's really crazy is that those fifteen NXT matches only come from seven different shows.

4 of my matches were from the main roster.
