Assuming he delivers. I think he will, as this is his biggest match since leaving NJPW, but his main issue is that he has a tendency to coast and underperform.

His match with Zayn at Takeover was one of the best ever too. I'd be very shocked if this isn't near 5 star worthy.

Yeah, Nakamura coasting is a legit argument that was made back in his NJPW days. Tanahashi wrote about it in his book. Nakamura is basically guy who's like "I'll show up when it matters."

Nakamura doesn't need to have one great match, he needs to be more consistent with his effort week by week. The WWE can forgive bad or disappointing matches from great workers if they at least show consistent work ethic. I mean, AJ vs Jericho at WM 32 was pretty disappointing given the talent involved but nobody could really blame their effort. They just didn't find the chemistry.

I do think Nakamura does need that "one great match" on his WWE resume, though. He's got the match with Zayn, but that was years ago and well before his main roster run. He needs to really put his stamp on a big match, and this is the time to do it.

Nakamura needs to be consistent. Half the issue is since he came to north america, apart from one or two matches, he's been coasting. Its like its his retirement tour or something or a final payday. Possibly also why he never got another IWGP world title run even though he was super over.

Yeah, I agree he needs to get more consistent, but he also really needs a marquee match.

It is also rumoured that Nakamura is physically breaking down. Though he has not missed much time in the WWE, apparently he has knee problems and the like that's been bothering him for quite a while. People sometimes forget he's a pretty big guy and the style he used to do takes a toll on bigger guys. That's why you see a lot of big 6 footers+ wrestlers sort of get into a formula at some point later in their careers, do less athletic looking moves, and bump less on the outside.

Predictions for who SmackDown gets tonight?

I'll say Drew McIntyre, Sanity, and The Iconic Duo.

And maybe Rey Mysterio.

I feel like Almas is a sure thing for Smackdown. He was in the Rumble for half an hour. He's going main roster, not 205.

Most probably but Almas is locked IMO.
Let´s hope they´ll handle him better than Nakamura or Roode.

Don't think Almas is a lock. He could debut tonight but I think they're gonna do a rematch between him and Aleister.

And Roode is nothing special. He was always a main roster mid carder at best in my opinion. To this day I still think they should've gave that glorious theme to Tyler Breeze in NXT.

Sanity, Iconic Duo and one of Almas or McIntyre.

ETA - And a new authority figure, Jarrett.

I was worried about shinsuke as a heel. Took all of one backstage segment to show how wrong I was. Nailed it.

"Sorry, no speak English."

 Amazing stuff.

i was wrong about Nakamura.

Its about time they had Carmella cash in the damn contract. Though Charlotte is going to kill her, actually where on earth is Asuka.

The beat down on Charlotte wasn't severe enough for me to believe she wasn't going to kick out.

Makes sense for Charlotte to go to Raw now and Asuka to come to SD

Also, Peyton Royce is 10/10

The ref asking Carmella 30 times if she was sure....dont really get the point of that lmao. That was painful.
