But for Vince, corona is certainly responsible for, not the product itself...

So this is the first time the product has been bad?

Re: WWE Raw Discussion III
To me the real issue is that taking away the crowds really shines a spotlight on how bad WWE programming is. It just can't stand on its own. It was bad with a crowd, but without one it's borderline unbearable.
They also shouldn't be trying to fill up three hours with no crowd. Two is pushing it even with above average quality like AEW has.

Nonsense. The test of good wrestling is not how well its stands up without fans. The live crowd element represents as much of the whole of wrestling programming as anything else. Imagine taking the live crowd from Punk vs Cena at MitB and asking "could this stand on its own?" Of course it couldn't. Does that say anything about the product itself? No!
Dave Schilling, for as much as he talks and writes about wrestling, completely misses the point. WWE ain't no sport.

My point was that WWE has done absolutely nothing to make the product more engaging without the crowds there. If you look to AEW, they provide something of a template for how to film wrestling right now. It's not perfect, and longer matches still struggle to remain engaging, but it's better than nothing. Putting Jericho on commentary was a stroke of genius as well, because he's good enough on the mic to keep you invested while still understanding his role in selling a match and other wrestlers.
WWE is just doing the same crap they've always done, only without a crowd it's ten times more unbearable to watch.

Re: WWE Raw Discussion III
The ultimate fighter is a decent example of how to do this, even good ol' NWA studio wrestling, or Prime Time Wrestling with Heenan and monsoon, WWE is just too stuck in their production box, they were on to something at least with the boneyard match. But you really need good writing to make it work, this is exposing how bad/contrived it really is. People should be tuning in, you have the most captive audience you can imagine in modern times and the opposite is happening

Tonight, we will see again Edge and Randy Orton. Furthermore, it is interesting to see if Rollins vs McIntyre is over or this feud will continue? What does the handshake after yesterday's ppv mean?

Re: WWE Raw Discussion III
Bittersweet having Joe back. Really good on commentary just seemed to run into a lot of bad luck in the ring once they brought him up.
Best promo of 2020 remains Joe calmly telling AOP that if he gets up from his commentary chair it’s not cause he’s moving, it means their asses.

It was a great start to the show. Unfortunately, the finish with Edge and Orton fell completely flat. I got a lot of sleep in between.
