Regardless, I'm sure Dream will be horribly utilized and booked into oblivion like everyone else on the main roster. The WWE isn't interested in making stars not named Roman Reigns.

IMO, he's got literally everything you can ask for in a top guy while being so young. It will be a shame if they mess him up.

Hopefully times have changed. For me the Women's Evolution happened all because of the network making the incentive to get a different demographic of subscribers. It's the same reason for the Japanese wrestlers. A superstar version of Dream would bring in some new types of viewers to the network, get a different type of social media reaction, etc. and would quite possibly just make the WWE cooler to a lot of people who write it off right now

Gargano belt vs career storyline didn't come off right to me. Everyone knew he wasn't winning the title on a random NXT, and everyone knew his NXT career isn't over. They were in a weird position since Almas vs Gargano 2 with his career on the line could have headlined NXT: New Orleans and if done right been a more emotional and iconic moment than the first match, but the dual factors of Alestair Black really needing to be in the title picture + Gargnano vs Ciampa being due, forced them to do a half measures

Vanessa Borne is **** hot. I read that they had to do the Cross match twice because the first time she came to the ring with a dominatrix outfit and was licking Nikki's face and it was too far

They need to stop taping NXT and do it live. I get its technically a developmental show, but it's really not.

You can tape the super green guys and girls stuff, but have the rest of the roster do it live. I haven't watched NXT since the last takeover, and the last takeover was great. There's no reason to watch taped stuff anymore.

Taping shows makes a ton of sense when your show is only an hour a week because you can tape three or four weeks worth of television in one go. Unless they expand NXT's time allocation, I can't see them going live with it.

NXT is apparently losing millions of dollars a year already. I can't see them going live with it.

I'd imagine the bulk of their losses are the result of the Performance Center. Gotta be expensive to keep that thing running.

Is this true? Damn. That's not good. I remember hearing HHH pleading with Vince to let him keep certain wrestlers on NXT a little longer because of how much he needed established draws on the program.

The sad thing is that the really green wrestlers really haven't had a chance to grow much because all the more experienced indies/Japanese wrestlers get most of the spotlight or they haven't shown enough improvement to get TV time. They can't get better unless they wrestle in front of legit crowds.

It almost feels like young wrestlers would develop better just going freelance and travelling around the world.

I think you need to look at it from the standpoint that NXT isn't supposed to make money. I assume the Performance Center comes out of the NXT portion of the budget, and so that alone probably prevents them from making any real profits. But of course, it's profit lost now for future gains. Every NXT graduate who goes on to make money from the company on the main roster is a success story, and there's a lot of those. Both indie guys like Rollins and Owens and NXT/PC creations like Elias and Braun.

I'd imagine WWE looks at it from the perspective that NXT's touring and merchandise sales help to offset the massive loss from maintaining the PC.

For sure. I totally agree. I just have a feeling that they won't put even more money into it when what they're doing now is working and cheap.

If Kairi is going to keep this dumb pirate gimmick, they need to go all in and have her use pirate lingo in promos. "I'll make her walk the plank." Etc.

It's interesting that they let their Japanese stars largely keep their old gimmicks (Nak and Asuka essentially are the same; Asuka's gimmick is basically the PG rated version of her Kana persona), but I think Kairi will definitely need a slight adjustment so that she can be taken more seriously and not so kid-friendly.
