I’ve been hearing some clamoring for Big E to get that main event spot, but I just don’t think he’s worthy of it. He’s just too jokey and silly a character — even after splitting from the new day. His character is centered around goofy mannerisms and expressions, and it’s not like he puts on five-star matches.

Drew vs Roman would’ve been a great main event with fans there.

I’m okay with Goldberg stepping in since they didn’t get their match earlier this year.

The Talking Smack promo with Heyman and Big E was a must watch. Hope it leads to E shedding the New Day schtick entirely and becoming a monster. And if they are going to do Roman-Goldberg at WM, they can afford to turn E heel then too.

Just saw it - that was terrific. Still, E needs to show more pure wrestling skills to have top level matches and to be a legit top card guy, imo.

It was a great promo from Heyman, putting over Big E. But Big E was a little all over the place (to me). There was this manic, pastor-esque energy about him, his tone was all over the place, and it just came across as anything but a real life believable character.

WWE has become so mundane and predictable the last number of years, but having AEW there as an alternative really makes it that much more obvious. Say what you want about AEW, but it’s possible to sit down and watch a full show through — even if you hate certain segments. There’s an energy to the show that WWE doesn’t have.

Roman has been the only interesting thing in the past 6 months. Randy and Drew are great but not exciting, per se. I feel like it’s gotten to a point in WWE that big surprises will ONLY happen at Royal Rumble/Summerslam/SS/Wrestlemania. I feel like nothing is happening on Raw/Smackdown so you’re not missing anything if you don’t watch. The match quality is absolutely not there on either show, that’s for sure. Other than the Roman stuff and of course Heyman, I can’t remember any memorable promos.

I think the booking is bad too, but they’re kind of let off the hook in that regard. Like, KO is facing Roman on Sunday. Who in their right mind thinks he has a chance to win? What has he done lately? Who has he beaten of relevance (not only recently but in the last few years)? Shouldn’t be that way. I get the storytelling aspect of why Jey was the only survivor for team Smackdown, but if this was the end game, then why not have Jey AND Owens be the last two survivors and some dissension between the two be the reason KO got eliminated. So it protects him going forward. Then you can have him beat a big name or two in a good match to build some momentum.

The booking feels cold.

As one who enjoys women's wrestling and 4 star matches, can anyone explain why Prime Time Wrestling is better than Raw or Smackdown?

I've watched just about every Smackdown show since going to Fox from beginning to end. It's possible. Other than the horrible Natalya matches lately I've been okay with the product.

Assuming Bret vs. Owen is number 1, what is the second greatest steel cage match in WWE history?

Good question I'd have to rewatch them again because I'm just going off memory but I have 4 that stand out...

1. Angle vs. Benoit RAW June 2001 - These 2 always had great matches and I remember Angles moonsault off the
top of the cage still being the best moonsault I've ever seen still to this day. Paul Heymans reaction is still ingrained
in my mind.

2. The Steiner Brothers vs. Money Inc - I just watched this for the first time this past summer and thought it was a
banger really enjoyed it. Would like to see more tag-team Steel Cage matches.

3. Hogan vs. Bossman Saturday Nights Main Event - Hogan and Bossman had great chemistry whenever they worked
together Hogan Suplexing Bossman off the top of the cage was one of the craziest bumps ever seen in North American
wrestling at that time.

4. Hogan vs. Bundy WM 2 - This was a great story going in and at the time in 1986 you didn't know Hogan was gonna win
almost every match so going in with the Heenan Family injuring his ribs in kayfabe and Bundy just being this awesome
legit monster heel that everybody was high on just made it feel like a big time special match. As for the match itself
I thought it was a fun brawl from 2 heavyweights and the blood really added to the match.

I’m as big a Bret and Owen mark as you’ll find, but I didn’t care for their cage match. They both worked like heels in it and the timing of the match was off.

I’m going with Triple H and Mankind’s Summerslam match. Chyna’s involvement was a good touch, Mick took that brutal cage door spot and the elbow off the top were standout moments. First time I saw triple h as more than a generic mid card 90s character guy.

The Dudley Boys vs the Hardy’s at Survivor Series 2001 was a very good tag team cage match.

Matt Hardy vs Edge in 2005 was another good one. A lot of emotion behind that one.

Triple X vs AMW in 2003(?) was dope also. A few insane spots throughout that match.

Didn't JBL and Eddie have a great one during their 2004 feud?

Also Mysterio vs. Batista (I think?) where Mysterio jumped off the Cage

So many that I haven't watched in years it's hard to remember them all

Since there's too much wrestling these days, keeping your big 4 cards on Sundays while the lesser ones go on your regular show seems like something they should look at when Vince eventually leaves the company. Would they lose a lot of money? You'd still have too much wrestling, but I would think to a lesser extent.

With the Royal Rumble coming up, I think it’s very much so up in the air as to who is going to win it. I would have Bobby Lashley win it, personally. He still has a great look/presence. He can still go in the ring. MVP is a great mouthpiece for him and the Hurt Business has already been flirting with being a main event level faction.

I know he’s not a young up and comer — but then neither was Randy or Cena or Austin or Taker and etc. I’d have him win it, challenge Drew at Mania — have MVP do some ringside antics to screw Drew out of the title and then have either Drew or someone else’s (Keith Lee?) win it off him around Summerslam. Or if Brock’s back then they can finally do that match. It’s just a shame that he’s never won THE big one in WWE.

I'm thinking AJ Styles as far as who could win the Rumble this year.

While I’m typically against having two world champions (when you have two you really have none), on the bright side it makes the rumble infinitely more fun to watch.

I'm worried about how this is gonna work... The WWE Network in Canada is pretty garbage. I finally did the "trick" that
so many people do in October and use a VPN to get around the cable provider listing on the sign up/log in page on their
website and used a fake American Address and signed up for a new account. Finally I can access the entire library and
watch the live PPVs on the App on my Xbox. In Canada you have to have a Cable subscription and it's not ideal for people
who are cable cutters like myself who don't want to be forced to buy a basic cable package just so you can have one
channel and and an On demand channel with limited content.

The setup I've been on since October has been perfect but now I'm worried I have to get a Peacock subscription and
pay extra and "if" I do is there gonna be a way around it to register if you don't live in the States.
