This IO program had to build to something. I think LaRae gets closer than anyone else has with this underdog story until Shirai wrecks it for her forcing her back into that program to "finish" that rivalry while Bazler goes into the program with Rhea and eventually loses the belt to her.
Hopefully. Just didn't make sense that no follow up was done the week after Ripley went at Baszler.

yeah i don't think it was a one off. I think they didn't give Rhea anytime this week because they wanted to highlight the new number 1 contender. Rhea definitely isn't gone though. Don't be surprised to see her go Mia Yim and take out the other two enroute to Shayna.

They should've saved that 1st Ripley vs Shayna match for the USA premiere

I actually didn't mind that. That 4way showcased the depth of the division to a new audience. Rhea should get her proper due when the time comes.

Really like that Conti-Kai match. Conti is a babe and gets pro wrestling. She sells great. Kai is good too. Took control of a very good TV match.

The NXT TV show will be built, in part, on short matches like that.

I could watch KL against Dijakovich every week, what a performance by both.

Killian and Riddle on the other hand, no chemistry at all.

The only thing I fear is oversaturation. Next week there's 3 title matches that are all takeover worthy

NXT just understands something on a fundamental level that main roster WWE does not, and that is that using your entire roster is beneficial to the brand. We don't need to see every performer get major time every week. Variety spices things up and also gives guys vital nights off from a brutal profession. Next week features a bunch of matches with guys who didn't perform tonight, but the card is no less intriguing because NXT consistently builds up all its guys, not just five to ten main eventers.

Main roster WWE is the same group of guys every damn week to the point where you just get sick of them. NXT changes things up from week to week so you're always invested. They also run feuds that culminate on the weekly show, not on the PPV (or Takeover in this case), which I think also adds a lot to the programming.

I watched NXT right after AEW and saw the first hour. From what I saw it was great. I was sleeping on my couch and fell asleep during the second hour, will have to go back and catch the whole thing. I'm really excited now that we're essentially getting a Takeover event every week on Wednesday

I can't wait for Kushida vs Walter next week. Hoooo boooy. Kushida is legit one of my favorite wrestlers in the world and Walter is awesome. Can't wait for this.

So I missed the first hour of NXT last night. This Riddle/Cole match is fire. When Mauro called Riddle's GTS the Bro To Sleep I **** lost it. Amazing.

She suffers a catastrophic knee injury every time I watch her wrestle. I'm still trying to get over it and sh doesn't have any knees left to injure.
