So how's this next match? They're not gonna cover it?

Even with a pretty thin roster, Double or Nothing was better than pretty much any non-NXT WWE show in recent memory. The lower card may not be great, but the upper card really f*cking delivers. That Bucks/Lucha Bros match at DoN was incredible.

I wasn't as high on Double or Nothing as most people... Like the main event crew but a lot of them have wrestled
each other a ton of times already. Not a fan of these low level Indy guys they've signed with the cheap flea market
looking costumes.

I want AEW to feel like a legit 2nd promotion and not have an Indy feel to it that was a problem I had with
TNA in the 2000's and could never take them that serious.

But then you get more of a poor man's WWE. Like when TNA tried going Monday nights, they tried to be Nitro but were more like Thunder!

It's hard for me to take wrestlers that look like jobbers seriously specially these ones wearing these cheap costumes
I just feel when you have several of these types of characters it cheapens a promotion.

Like if you were trying to get a friend into wrestling that has never watched would you be embarrassed to show
them their matches or segments? It's usually the carny like stuff that turns off the mainstream.

Ok the whole "this event has officially ended but we have 1 more match " thing is dumb. Officially it's not a match, yet we have ring entrances, we have an AEW referree, and we have commentary
Fantasy Hoops/Football/Baseball fans..

For info on a forum that actually talks Fantasy sports and not spammed with soliciting leagues, PM me. The more the merrier !

I liked these type of matches when I was younger. Now it gets me concerned big time.

I think ( could be wrong ) that the blood from the chair shot was fake

Seen the replay and when he fell to the mat no blood when the camera went off Cody and returned that’s when we notice the blood.

Was big fan of the Moxley and Janela match
Was wild and i love hardcore matches so this was amazing to watch.

Moxley is straight up nutso! Totally wasted in the WWE.

TNA largely hired washed up WWE guys, not guys in their prime like Rusev or Balor who are being criminally underutilized by WWE. Also, WWE was actually competent at that time too, so there wasn't a huge list of WWE wrestlers who wanted out to join TNA.

Further, the problem with TNA was less the talent and more the booking.

Which is why I'm underwhelmed at the prospect of Bischoff producing another wrestling show. Dude only ever had one big angle and he rode that one into the damn ground.

Guys like Omega, Cody, Mox, Spears and Jericho are so much physically bigger than 90% of the AEW roster, it's kind of hard to look past that. Like what would happen if AEW signed Rusev, how could they ever let that guy take an L.

Good PPV overall, loved the last match (i'm a bit of a sucker for well done hardcore matches however). The chair shot was stupid, Cody turning away didn't help but even if the chair was gimmicked, Cody should have put his hands up.

They did a pretty good job of making Darby Allin look like he could go toe to toe with Cody. It's all in the match layout and booking.

I really want to like them but based on their first 2 shows I don't know how anyone can say they're not WWE-lite, hoping for something different here, not too optimistic.
