Re: NXT Thread III
NXT is top brand wrestling guys. There's a reason why McMahon bought EVOLVE. They're looking at making that their minor league

There's so much talent in the NXT's women division right now, it's nuts.

There's so much talent in NXT overall. Gargano, Ciampa, Cole, and O'Reilly are all top ten to twenty guys in the entire world imo. All four are fantastic workers but also excel at character work. O'Reilly isn't the best promo, but he's so good at selling and also awesome at comedy that I think it doesn't really matter.

I'd be ecstatic if Kross issues a challenge and then lights go out then candles and then the whole Black entrance. Dark gimmicks with real life similarities in disciplines practiced
Don't know why I see Legado del Fantasma fitting perfectly for El Idolo

Why is Cole still in NXT? It'll be 4 years in NXT for him at this year's SummerSlam weekend.

Because NXT is a major brand in and of itself - no longer just a stepping stone for Raw and Smackdown - and he's a better fit there than at Raw or Smackdown. Having said that, it wouldn't surprise me if he does get moved at some point - now that he has no faction.

Is it though? How much money does it make?

I have not looked at their financials - and don't plan to.

They were losing money for most of their life, but I would assume the TV deal puts them into the black.
I just don't think that you can be considered a major brand if you have to rely on the the takings from the other brands to pay the salaries of your employees.

Again, I haven't reviewed their financial statements and don't know if what you said is accurate or relevant - especially without regarding how much NXT has increased the value of talent used by Smackdown and Raw.

Prior to the TV deal (2019), they were breaking even. NXT also pays for the talents rental cars and hotels, which doesn't happen on the main roster. With the TV deal, they are absolutely making money. That's $30mil right there when the roster cost is around $8-$9mil.

Re: NXT Thread III
AJ Francis is certainly making an impact with WWE - first being a memorabilia historical expert on Mick Foley's WWE artifacts show - which seems a quite bizarre role to me - but I thought he did well in it. And now with Swerve Scott in a new faction. I thought their promo last night was great.

Swerve's new stable has a lot of potential. Could see it elevating him to the main event scene.

Re: NXT Thread III
After reading more about the allegations against Dream and then Dream's explanation, the whole thing is sad. Sucks that his entire career was derailed after multiple (some that where independent from WWE) sources cleared him. But who knows if any real fact checking went on.

I think I remember reports saying he had an overall bad attitude as well. The whole package was likely more than WWE wanted to deal with going forward. There was a huge group on twitter and reddit celebrating his release, so he may have never been given a shot to succeed by the fans whether he was guilty or not.

Re: NXT Thread III
I was loving the 3-way match between Gargano, O'Reilly, and Dunne - thinking this could be a match of the year candidate - until Adam Cole brought it to a screeching halt. And his promo was dead on - he's the only one on NXT that can take over the screen with his personality. And while Kross dwarfed him and has the intimidation factor, Cole outshined him on their promo. Not that Kross did poorly, it was just Cole rising to the occasion. The 5-way match could be a classic, and hopefully it doesn't end up dismissing the great talents of Gargano, O'Reilly and Dunn - and doesn't end up being basically a Kross vs Cole match - which I'm guessing it will.

Man, how Cole can elevate his game year after year after year is a joy to watch as a fan. The complete opposite of a Vince McMahon ideal superstar but he's been the MVP of the company or if not, the most consistent across all brands.
You just can't put in a box this type of talent. IF he ever gets "called up", I really really hope he gets freedom in all aspects

Re: NXT Thread III
Presumably, the 5-way match will show the pecking order in NXT, and with Balor not involved - it's just a matter of time before he goes to Raw or Smackdown - unless they think he's making too much money.
