Re: NXT Thread III
With Karrion Kross transitioned to Raw, I could see Ridge Holland taking Kross' place as the next big guy to develop for the "main roster". They're smart to team him with excellent workers like Dunne and Lorcan, because it looks to me that he needs some work on being safe in the ring - and being so strong, he can hurt people if he's not smart.

Finally getting around to watching NXT 36. The Walter/Dragunov match was as advertised.
The video package for O'Reilly/Cole just confirms how horribly WWE would be dropping the ball to let Cole go. He's a goddamn star.

If AEW gets Cole - to go with Punk and Danielson, that'd be such a coup - not just because of their greatness - but them all being small fits in with the rest of the roster. I'd love to see MJF playing off of them of them verbally and Jungle Boy playing off them in the ring. And they'll keep Darby Allen relevant.

One thing that confuses me with the WWE in particular as we are in this era where more and more fans appreciate great workers/promo guys over just the massive guys, yet there is no respect for a cruiserweight division. To me this is where the WWE has really failed. If you made the cruiserweight belt something really significant instead of dumped off your main TV then you could really feature these guys.
And I get it when you had some small guys like HBK as established stars that you couldn't have that kind of separation but right now you could. Especially with the rise of MMA over the past decade where its never been all about the heavyweights. Almost all of the biggest stars have been at lower weight classes.

Not even sure there's really much WWE can do about that. I'm sure they gave Cole a strong offer to stay. Players would rather now play for the Nets, not the Knicks. Prior to AEW being an official promotion, WWE offered the Young Bucks a great deal that even included a short term opt out clause. They said no thanks.
But in the long run this is actually good for WWE. They need this kick in the ass to wake up.

WWE's latest NXT class includes "The Problem" Sefa Fatu, Rikishi's youngest son. Two years ago, it was said that Sefa had the most natural ability from that bloodline since Yoko. Excited to see how he works out.

Official kiss of death for NXT? (in it's current state as a true alternative to RAW & Smackdown)

Re: NXT Thread III
No matter how many they've lost to Raw and Smackdown, the NXT womens division just keeps on sustaining its excellence. Kay Lee Ray moves from NXT UK and put on a show last night with Amber Moon. What a frikkin great match to start the show. Tbh, I find the NXT women's matches to be more entertaining than most of the men's matches. They had a very good tag match last night - and they're doing a surprisingly good job of making Io Shirai's character more interesting - she's already tremendous in the ring - and her entrance music is oddly entertaining. I can't tell if she's a heel or a face, but whatever she is - it's working.

Re: NXT Thread III
Parker Boudreaux (being hyped as the next Brock) new name is Gunner Harland. Bronson Rechsteiner (Rick Steiner's son) new name is Rex Steiner.
Both will probably be debuting in this new era of NXT and I'm honestly excited for it. Besides the women's division, NXT has lost its magic. Guys stay in NXT for way too long.

The last NXT Takeover had two pretty incredible matches, so I don't think I'd say this at all.

The takeovers are always great, the weekly show is not that good anymore.

WTF what could it be?!
I could joke about being allergic to Vince's management but this could be serious

"Bron Breakker" looks exactly like his dad but they give him a new name and don't acknowledge he's a 2nd generation wrestler at all

Tuned in and caught Rick Steiner’s sons match. Loved everything except the name. Why do they go out of their way to neglect the history of a second generation wrestler and give him a ridiculous name? Rex Steiner or Bronson Steiner would’ve been just fine.

Just 23 years old, and they already have him non-selling against LA Knight. His prior experience was playing a zombie who ate the Miz & Morrison. I'm guessing he's not going to be in any scientific wrestling matches for a while.

As far as wrestling weddings go, this is pretty entertaining.
