A triple threat with Punk involved would make it much more appealing to me.

Going the safe and predictable route is not necessarily a bad thing. I knew Punk was gonna lose the belt to Rock. You don't bring Rock in to take part in a title match just to have him lose. It's the combination or Rock's win, Cena's win and the thought that we're getting the same stale Cena back in the title picture.
I'd like to see Punk officially go nuts about the Injustice, join up with the Shield officially and make it a three-way title match at the least.
No way WWE gets Rock and Cena go against each other before WrestleMania, even in a Triple Threat with Punk. That's why I don't see two Elimination Chamber matches this year. It ruins the image of only being able to see those two fight each other at a WrestleMania. I see the Rock-Punk rematch at Elimination Chamber with stipulations like No DQ street fight or something. Cena will have to keep busy until then. Maybe put his spot up against someone while the Elimination Chamber goes to the Smackdown roster.
So what are we looking at the end result after WrestleMania. Cena will DEFNITELY have the title. There's no other way that changes and I think we all see that coming. It's been since October 2011 since he's had the title and The Rock will definitely step aside after. Now, it's all about execution with great matches and promos and how they handle it after (I've given up on a Cena heel turn, but I will agree that's the BEST way to go after taking the title from The Rock).
Punk? Let him have his match with The Undertaker at WM. Could he break the streak? Sure, but I would've rather someone younger break it. If there's ever an Undertaker match you couldn't predict, it would be this one. Could steal the show. Punk, win or lose, could feud with Cena once more or even feud with Brock. THAT would be a crazy feud especially with Heyman involved and could set Punk up with a face turn. More options are good.

Well that sucks. I was really hoping they would come out tonight and say they had proof that it wasn't The Shield that jumped Rock and lead to an overturned decision. This being on the internet eliminates that as a possibility.

2 more years of Brock at least means that his match at WM will at least have some suspense, so that's good.

Couple of thoughts after sleeping on it: If it is Rock-Punk rematch next month as many of us expect, they will probably get 30 plus minutes and Rock's going to win but I really hope its a better match this time. I'm much closer to the Chris Jericho philosophy that wins and losses are meaningless and its all about the quality of the match and story than I am that wins and losses are all that's important, although I don't ascribe to Jericho's philosophy fully. But I think a real classic match at the Chamber would do much more for Punk than a win ever would.
Secondly, Rock-Cena have to find a way to freshen it up this year. I don't know what it is but if we get 6 weeks of Rock questioning Cena's manhood through homophobia and Cena whining about Rock leaving for Hollywood I don't even think I'd be that upset but more disappointed because I'll tell you what I am going to get 6 weeks of CM Punk promos talking about becoming not just the best in the world but the best of all time by ending Taker's streak and if Rock-Cena want to do the same stuff they did last year Punk is going to make them look like amateur hour.

I think most of us are a little sad about Punk's reign coming to an end, but you should have seen the scene from the view I had in my unfortunate 2nd row theatre seats; the place went absolutely bananas. There were couples hugging and jumping around with exuberance. Every seat was full, and that happy state continued until the screen went black. Conversely, the place flatlined when Punk secured his initial three count. I'm not too thrilled about Rock-Cena II main eventing my first ever live Mania, but I can't argue with a Rock win.

This may be unlikely, but I think a way to make these next couple months much more fresh and exciting... At EC instead of a 1 on 1 rematch you have Rock/Punk/Y2J/Brock/Taker/Someone and after Rock wins CM Punk is still complaining about how he never got a fair rematch which could eventually lead to him being apart of the main event at WM.
That way we have a star studded EC match and a much more appealing WM.

Not a huge fan of that idea. Cena and Rock are plenty capable of doing something better than they did last year its up to them whether they accomplish that. I also don't think Mania is the right PPV to have a multi-person main event. The last time they did it was WM 20, and it was a tremendous match that night but Rock-Punk-Cena equaling that match is essentially zero because of the people involved in each match but also the emotion involved in that match. I still think the best idea is Rock-Cena, Punk-Taker and while I'm not a huge fan of Brock-HHH I've accepted the likelihood of that match and even if it doesn't happen there's no shortage of viable options for Brock.

Re: Royal Rumble
I actually think a triple threat match would be ideal. It's obvious now that Rock needs to be carried through these things. He's sucking air like Warrior after about 5 minutes. Punk and Cena have amazing chemistry together, and it would allow for Rock to filter in and out of the match without having to do so many rest spots.
That would leave Lesnar and Taker to have the most logical match of the card, and relieve us of Lesnar-HHH II.

I am predicting now that Cena will win at Wrestlemania next month. I am also predicting that at the 2014 Wrestlemania we will see Rock- Cena 3 to break the tie

I'm not too upset about Rock winning the belt or ending Punk's reign. It's more about Cena getting back in the picture as the same stale guy as always and reliving the feud of last year that really didn't live up to what it should have been.

I think it needs to be for the title if they're gonna do it again. Theyve already done a match for pride, don't see the need for that again. I personally don't hate that the match itself will happen again, I just hate the buildup with all the lame insults.
Only rematch I don't wanna see is hhh/lesnar because hhh sucks on screen and their 1st match was boring as hell. Best part of te feud was hhh standing on the ramp trying to garner some sympathy fom the crowd and nobody gave a sh*t.

Re: Royal Rumble
Get ready everyone for the 700+ day reign of John Cena as the WWE champion.
I wish I was joking and thought it couldn't possibly happen, but this is Cena and Vince loves doing stupid senile crap that no one wants and no one thinks is a good idea.
My WM card :
Big 3
WWE Title - Cena vs Rock 2 - Cena wins
Brock vs HHH - HHH wins
CM Punk vs Undertaker - Undertaker wins
The-Rest-Who-Get-10-Minutes-Each
Ziggler vs Jericho - Ziggler wins / cashes in MITB later
World Heavyweight Title - Sheamus vs Orton - Orton wins
U.S. Title - Caesaro vs Miz - Miz wins
Intercontinental Title - Barrett vs Ryback - Ryback wins
Kane vs Daniel Bryan - Bryan wins
Tag Team Titles - PTP vs Rhodes Scholars - Rhodes scholars win

I agree. Punk/Cena/Rock doesn't even need a build up. Neither does Lesnar and Taker really, only the fans who forgot their altercation at the UFC event.

Re: Royal Rumble
Damn I missed this because of a black out
.
So the obvious happened. Cena winning. Eh. And The Rock winning with a peoples elbow doesn't fit for me.
Y2J returning though was a shock.
I'll have to try and catch it somewhere online. Sounds like a good PPV. Can't wait for RAW today.

Re: Royal Rumble
I was pretty disappointed in this PPV in terms of results, but overall I was pretty entertained. I absolutely loved that Jericho is back, and I will fully admit I marked out when I heard his music. Best moment of the Rumble by far. Even better was that it looks like he hasn't lost a step. Seriously, that guy is top ten, no doubt.
Other things I liked:
- Kofi f'n Kingston. I know a lot of internet smarks aren't fans, but the dude is pure entertainment to me. Throw a mouthpiece on him and I think he could be a top level guy.
- Kane and Daniel Bryan. If you told me I would still be enjoying these two a few months ago, I'd of called you crazy. However, every time they have a segment I end up with a smile on my face. The elimination was great.
- Cesaro retaining on the pre-show. It was expected but WWE drops the ball on "lesser" stars quite a bit but it looks like they're committed to Cesaro. Very happy with that.
- Cody sold the whole Goldust thing very well. I'm interested to see if this is re-accruing or just one night.
- Seeing the Godfather again. Yeah, it was a "wasted" slot but I'd much rather see something of nostalgia versus losers like Khali or Drew McIntyre.
Now, on to what I didn't like:
- Rock v. Cena II. Jeez, PLEASE throw us a curveball and don't make this our "once in a lifetime" main-event for a second time. It's stale. Actually both Cena and Rock are stale but that'll be saved for a whole different rant.
- Wade Barrett being eliminated by Bo Dallas. Please don't try to shove this guy down my throat like that.
- The way Show lost. Duct-taped by Ricardo? Lame.
- CM Punk dominating the re-start only to have Rock reverse it with one spine buster, a people's elbow, and then a clean 1-2-3. It just doesn't make sense.
- No Mark Henry or Christian! Both were apparently ready for a return but neither were used.
----
Just something I was hoping for was The Shield to interfere in the Rumble. I was hoping when it was all faces left (or at least just Ryback-Cena) we'd see the lights go out, the ring cleared, with the Shield standing tall. Thought it would of been a cool swerve but I get why they didn't. I guess you need a clear winner.
