I think it's a work and if they mention it once then for sure it's a work.

I actually wouldn't be surprised at all if he's mentioned or atleast alluded to in some way. This reminds me a bit of when DX was first getting started they did something to anger the censors and instead of scaling back they did a mock press conference where they put the censors on blast.

I think this is legit but the hope among the WWE is that this blows over relatively quickly and within a few weeks they can bring him back.

I'm predicting that it's a work. If the choking incident was such a big deal, they wouldn't have continued to show it in all of the replays over the past week.

I'm guessing they didn't get the complaint until Thursday or Friday which is why it was in all of the replays

Their editing team could easily edit that out of the replays shown on Smackdown if they received the complaints before it aired.

^^^Maybe, but none of us know exactly when the complaints came and how quickly the WWE made there decision. For all we know they got the complaint and made the decision to release him over the course of 2-3 hours after Smackdown aired.

I saw on NXT... that they edited out Danielson's choke on Roberts. But I dunno about Smackdown.

CM Punk seemed to make light of Daniel Bryan's release at the SmackDown live event last night in Hampton, Virginia, before his match with Kane. Punk entered the ring and cornered announcer Tony Chimel, grabbed his tie and held it while looking back and forth between the tie and Tony's face, threatening him.

im guessing punk did that since they are friends

Two things, there isn't a snowballs chance in hell that its actually Danielson driving that limo. Even if the storyline is him behind the wheel. There's no way the WWE, a billion dollar company, isn't going to hire a professional to do that. It would be negligence of the highest order.

Second, in that video at 1:26 I listened to it about 3 times and I couldn't make out if he was saying "go Daniel go" or he was saying "go damn it go"

Its simple optics. There's no visual of Bret getting hurt, so it basically just looks like there playing bumper cars. Whereas we could see Roberts getting choked out.
