Raw has been pretty good so far today.
I had to jump off the boat to walk on water.

AJ's heel again, well that's good at least. Hopefully he gets some respect.

Drake Maverick finally getting the title back, honestly the 24/7 title doesn't have to revolve around R-Truth so i'd actually like to see what they can do with other talent.

Anyway the show, at least sounds, surprisingly decent. Joe vs Kingston is what we need, give Joe the world title please.

Still not a fan of random best of three matches and Lacey and Corbin, name a worse pairing in wrestling, i'll wait.

An underutilized Mike and Maria talking about a husband not man enough and the wife telling her husband a woman should impregnate her.

Actually spent a good amount of time watching the DVR recording of RAW and not fast forwarding through the entire thing, so...progress!

I haven’t been watching but notice Kofi is on raw now. Are they done with the brand split officially now and they have two world titles?

No. They have the "wild card" rule which says up to four people from one show can appear on the other show because reasons or something, and also they explicitly said that Kofi doesn't even need the wild card rule because he's the champ so he can go where he wants and bring the New Day with him. Kofi is actually *not* on Raw, he just keeps being on Raw.

If that sounds like gibberish to you, that's only because it is.

Basically the brand split still exists but they are moving their presumed biggest draws onto both shows to try to keep ratings up.

They need to go back to a hard split and now we have two different bookers at the helm with Heyman and Bischoff, we need another draft and seperate brand identities.

Get guys like Bryan, AJ, Seth, Gargano, Ciampa, Nakamura, Balor, Andrade etc on raw (guys Heyman likes/can work with) and put Roman, Strowman, Lashley, McIntyre, Lars etc on Smackdown (guys Bischoff likes/can work with).

You can rely on Bischoff to get some good factions going and Heyman will bring the most out of the talent he has at his disposal.

If Vince leaves them the hell alone (well, maybe not Uncle Eric cause if he's left unchecked, that will suck), it will be a good product again for like the first time (consistently at least) in over a decade (besides 2016 smackdown and maybe the summer of punk).

Yeah it was a good to solid RAW still hard to book 3 hours with commercials but it was a good start...

I thought the Lashley and Strowman thing was kind of cheesy with the over top "fire crackers" going off but
I get what they were doing and I like that they tried to book something that was trying to be crazy and get
people talking. The origins of RAW was supposed to be anything can happen and its uncensored and "RAW".

I hope the Mike and Maria thing was a cool angle that Heyman is starting and not some punishment because
shes pregnant again. I was glad to see them get a big break in a segment with the 2 big faces of the company but
if Maria is off the road for months there's no way Mike can survive on his own and will be back jobbing on
205 Live.

Hopefully they actually stay committed to the Club and this goes somewhere. As a viewer its hard to invest
into anything because Vince almost always loses interest in new stuff after a few weeks and it leads to
nothing. There's been so much stuff that had good potential and was over that he derailed because he
didn't like it that I bet its a big reason why people have left in droves this decade.

The only things I would've cut on RAW was the Alexa Bliss stuff and the Miz vs. Elias match. I'll never be a Miz
fan unless he changes his character and look and poor Elias they've buried him doing the same repetitive
thing for the last year or so no idea why as he's a solid worker.

For the most part I like the Street Profits they got a good look seem to be good in the ring and have good energy
in their promos but does anyone know what the hell they're talking about? I know they're trying to be cool and
funny but it's not really connecting I feel. I'd have Heyman write their promos and they can add their own
spin on it. I just don't want them to become corny like the New Day.

Also we praised last weeks episode, this one just went back to being bad. Honestly if Heyman was behind this i'm worried, if he wasn't, i'm worried again of him quitting the company because of Vince's senility/stupidity.

That was the "Go Home" episode of RAW which is to entice the viewer to buy the PPV or if they have the
Network to make plans for Sunday Night instead it told the viewer make alternative plans.

They have one month to get this ship back on track because it's gonna be very interesting bringing this
product to "Bizzaro land" for SummerSlam.

Bad Raw, I stopped watching halfway through. The 2 out of 3 falls nonsense needs to stop. And it made no sense to have a mixed tag elimination match

Announcing Corbin in the main event again was all I needed to know I wasn't watching the PPV. I refuse to watch any event where he is given a prominent spot on the card.

That was a weird ending (and yes I realize many of you didn't stick around for it :D )

Shane McMahon gets to pick Roman Reigns' partner for a tag team match to end the show; he picks some random backstage dude and gives him $5,000 to participate, and a luchador mask.

Last match of the night is introduced: Shane and Drew vs. Roman and Gary "the Goat" Garbut. Of course the masked guy ends up doing flips and top-rope clotheslines before finally eating a huge (and great-looking) Claymore and getting pinned. As Drew and Shane leave, Roman helps "Gary" get his luchador mask off...and it's Cedric Alexander! Announce team goes nuts: "Cedric Alexander just put one over on Shane McMahon!"

Um...except he got Claymored in the face and took the loss. I'm not sure how that really counts as Cedric "putting one over" on the other team. I guess maybe it helps set up a future feud but it feels awfully stupid to have that big reveal as some kind of clever plan after his getting destroyed in the ring.

Exactly. If it was supposed to be some clever reveal, he should have won. he did a few moves (botched one) and ate a claymore for a quick pin, makes no sense whatsoever.
