It makes total sense. The consumer glutton vs. the hippie vegan.

Explains the vignettes of KO bowling, eating pizza, just being a the "everyone's man".

Kevin Owens would be a terrible top babyface. I'm talking Dean Ambrose levels of corny ****. He could play the Becky Lynch/CM Punk role against a heel authority, but not against a heel champion like Daniel Bryan.

Yeah I don't have interest in a Bryan/Owens match either. I feel like the crowd would turn on KO because everyone wants Kofi in that spot.

I have interest in Bryan/Owens as a match. I have less interest in this terrible character they're turning KO into and also because I'm fairly certain that WWE will do what they always do for big PPVs and book the Smackdown title match horrendously so the crowd doesn't get too into it and so it doesn't overshadow Raw's match.

Itami has officially been released. A real shame he never held a title in WWE.

Edit: Dillinger and TJP released too. Didn't even know TJP was still there.

WWE also let Arn Anderson go. Wouldn't be surprised to see AEW snatch him up. Cody loves him and I've mostly only read good things about his backstage work.

Great people are here. Just read the news.

I think most already anticipates Kenta to go back to NOAH, but AEW makes sense for him too, although he'll be lost in the shuy. Too many main event characters already.

AA to AEW cause of Cody.

TJP back to Impact.

Tye for some reason I see him getting over in Impact as well, although ROH seems a good fit as well.

The AA thing is a bit strange. Is there a chance he left to work with AEW?

Certainly possible. Also worth noting that WWE just hired a handful of younger producers like Shane Helms, so might just be a changing of the guard. Or maybe he's just retiring.

Bruce Prichard is back with wwe and starts Monday. Likely great news for the product but likely the end of the best wrestling podcast out there. Sad face.

Also big speculation that Reigns announces his return on monday. Good stuff

Arn Anderson was fired for continued conflict with Vince and challenging his poor creative decisions

He died for our sins

Also I hope Bruce isn't just a yes man but he probably will be

If they where to play him off as a face, it certainly wouldn't be against Daniel Bryan. If they want him to succeed, it should be an anti-authority heel like CM Punk almost (similarish to his ROH face run actually).

Give it a few years before we get some great stories. Shame we won't get his Cornette impression anymore

i feel like this is understating KO's talent (i think he could be a really good face) but having said that, this is Kofi's time now
