And that's how he gets me hooked. The gray area of keyfabe has been shaded to a darker hue back to black (if that makes sense), making this gimmick more "real life".

Rusev in the main event is extremely lackluster, would've been a cool time to bring back John Morrison

Lots of matches tonight!

I beg to disagree with Rusev. Up to now there's no clear distinction on his character, face or heel, but I like he's straight to the point that he just wants a shot.

I think Rusev will win via DQ.

Bobby Lashley looks like a create a wrestler before you start customizing him.

I enjoyed the show. Was great to see the pyro back!

I can't believe how they've ruined the commentary. That was easily the best part of the show before and now it's so plain and ordinary and just awkward with king way miscast and over his head. Disappoting... Graves and renee had such great chemistry and perspectives.

Ooh, the shade.

I take the Rusev comment back. No way you're a heel after watching a guy eat your wife's face.

The segment was ok for me, not just the timing. You highlight the title match to close the show.

Since when did WWE hire Vince Russo to be their head booker, that felt like a Nitro, a bad nitro with like one good thing (the fiend).

Heyman needs to ease it up with the infidelity storylines (then again this one was probably vince if we know anything about his hatred of Rusev and Lana as a couple).

For all the hype of the last week. Also i hope that Wyatt squashes Seth and takes the title, i'm sorry, Face Rollins is beyond boring.

Probably Vince that booked the Rusev storyline...

We've already had the Ziggler/Summer Rae/Rusev angle when Ziggler made out with her then the one with Aiden English
in a hotel room with her in Milwaukee now this. Yeah Vince just hates Rusev and Rusev is to nice and just goes along
with everything and is happy to work with WWE and be around his good friends like Sheamus and the Usos.

This storyline has been recycled just as much as Shane vs. Kevin Owens... speaking of that has Kevin Owens stock risen
at all from this angle? to me it feels like its dropped it.

I thought RAW was pretty entertaining last night, for the most part. You could definitely tell that it was a Heyman production too, so I'm really curious to see how SD goes with Bischoff running it.

The Rusev/Lana thing has gotten incredibly stale though. I'm not sure what they're planning on doing besides setting up a match between him and Lashley at HIAC. It's unreal how much that they've ruined Rusev over the past couple of years too -- the dude should have received a monster push when Rusev Day was the most over thing in the company. Instead, they waste that on a meaningless feud with Aiden English and now they have him relegated to another love storyline with Lana. I don't get it. He's your prototypical guy that Vince would love too -- big persona, great on the mic, good in the ring. The optimist in me hopes that this could perhaps elevate him into a title contender, but I highly doubt that's what they're going to do.

Lol, I thought it was a lame idea when Impact did it - depressing that WWE would copy it.

Lana really sold her role. Welp, can't let the kiddies stay up to watch the end of Raw anymore.

Over Half A Million Viewers Tune In, Then Out For WWE RAW Segment With Hulk Hogan And Ric Flair
By Marc Middleton | October 03, 2019

WWE Hall of Famers Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan really "moved the needle" for their MizTV segment with The Miz on this week's RAW season premiere from Phoenix.

Well over 500,000 fans tuned in to see The Nature Boy and The Hulkster return to RAW, but then tuned out right after the segment was over, according to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio.

WWE's nostalgia segments often do good numbers but the Flair - Hogan MizTV segment did better than usual.

As noted, Monday's RAW season premiere drew an average of 2.571 million viewers, up from last week's 2.210 million viewers, and the best red brand viewership since the post-SummerSlam episode on August 12, which drew 2.729 million viewers. The first hour drew 2.701 million viewers (last week's hour 1 - 2.372 million), the second hour drew 2.592 million viewers (last week's hour 2 - 2.213 million) and the final hour drew 2.416 million viewers (last week's hour 3 - 2.044 million). Anyone see the clip of Wyatt on that good morning show? Holy ****, that was awesome. If he gets the title, I hope he does all of his appearances like that.

They do, but that's also WWE's failure to build any new stars (other than Daniel Bryan but he's self made really and almost in spite of what WWE wanted) in the last decade. Also nostalgia has diminishing return and ultimately, their was no real retention of that audience once they saw what was on (mostly nonsense).

That hopefully is changing if Heyman has any influence on booking or any of his previous skill as a booker from the ECW days (hell, even from the ECW reboot cause he did a good job with Punk and even guys like Morrison and Elijah Burke).
