If you scan internet wrestling boards and read everyone's thoughts you'll probably notice a common theme of hate and complaining about whats going on in the storylines, who's getting pushed who should turn on who, etc. There are positives posts but not a lot.

The point is that it's easy to get caught up in the hate and talking about what should happen or why it sucks. The goal of this thread is collect thoughts on the positive side of wrestling, what got you into it in the first place? What keeps you watching and loving this crazy show called wrestling? So this thread is just a place to get away from the complaining for a second and post a thought on why you like this show.

I'll start..

The simplicity of wrestling, the fact that the right thing always happens at the end of each story, the good guy always comes out on top of the bad guy, maybe not winning the last match of a feud but always getting in the last word with very few-if any-exceptions.

The reliability of wrestling, every other television show or sport ever except the nightly news has an off season, so for us wrestling fans, we can take comfort in the knowledge that no matter what if we need our wrestling fix we know we can tune in every Monday at 9 (or Thursday at 9 or Friday at 8) and catch the show we love to watch.

I can think of a couple more but I'll let this pan out for a bit to see all your thoughts first before I add more.

The comedy of wrestling, sometimes it doesn't land but a lot of times there's some good comedy in wrestling. (Kurt Angle/Stone Cold/Vince, Santino when he was really funny, Goldust can be good, etc.)

The Chris Jericho of wrestling, he's the complete package.

There's literally nothing good about TNA, at all. Angle the MCMG's are about the only things worth tuning in to see, but the rest taints those so bad, it's unwatchable.

WWE has done a lot of things well lately. The Nexus angle was pure gold to start, and when it started to slow down, they have the biggest star in the industry be forced to join and bow to the young guy who hasn't even been in the big time for a year. That's compelling stuff.

They've done very good with Orton. He's basically the same guy he was when he was absolutely terrorizing Triple H and Stephanie. Back then, the crowd hated him with a passion. Now, he's still punting dudes and delivering RKOs to anyone and everyone, yet the crowd loves him. You know you've done something right when you don't really have to change the character in order to get him over after a turn. Just awesome.

They deserve major props for getting Sheamus over. He looked like an irish incarnation of Vlad Kozlov when he first started getting that major push, but he's sustained it. Sheamus is very good on the mic, obviously has a unique look and is great in the ring for his size. Cliff Levingston actually believes him in the main event picture and has for a while even though he hasn't really scored the most convincing of victories.

Punk is a king amongst insects. Cliff Levingston was wildly skeptical when he heard that they were going to turn Punk heel. Cliff Levingston couldn't have been any more wrong about that. Punk is the best heel in the business by a wide margin right now now that Jericho is gone. The whole "Straight Edge means i'm better than you" was just awesome. The SES has it's moments but they rightfully trashed the idea. The SES made him look weaker. Hopefully they've got big plans for him on Raw. He lost steam even since losing the title to the Undertaker and is capable of carrying a show on his back at the top heel, no problem.

They've done a good job with their young talent in general. You still see some guys middling a bit who deserve more (Morrison, Bourne, DiBiase), but for each one of the middlers, there's about 2 or 3 huge success stories. Punk, Kofi, Swagger, Sheamus, Ziggler, Del Rio and every guy in the Nexus. Great jobs done with every one of those guys and they're working in talents like Riley, McGillicutty, Harris and Kaval. Can't win 'em all, but it's nice to see them winning the majority on that front. They've done a pretty nice job with Cody Rhodes as well and McIntyre is alright.

How's that for positivity?
