Wrestling at its best

There's little footage of wrestling prior to the 1980's so I'm only including 1980's onward. Over any 3-5 year span, what league do you think has put out the best product?

Tie between NWA/WCW 80s and WWF attitude era.

I chose Attitude era, but WCW in the 90s and WWF in the mid 80s to early 90s was pretty sick too.

Attitude era/Stone Cold. Beer truck, Zamboni, concrete in Vince's corvette, running over limos with monster trucks... the list goes on. How awesome were those days?

The polls I do usually don't get close to 10 votes on here. I voted 1980's NWA. You were virtually guaranteed of a good to great card every time they wrestled. From what I have seen of it I'd say the same for early Ring Of Honor but I'd say NWA wrestlers were much better on the mic than they were in ROH. I don't think wrestling will ever be as good as 1980's NWA. Hopefully I'm wrong.

I didnt vote because the NWO era and ATTITUDE ERA were going simultaniously for a nice stretch of time, as well as ECW, which was just as equally badass.. So i say from like mid to late 95 (Pre NWO) till mid 2002 was pure gold. The stuff being thrown at us now is all pretty meh to me

I remember the good old days when pirate boxes existed and there at times was PPVs three weeks in a row (ECW every few months). Those were the days

ECW utilized wrestlers very well and most of their wrestlers could wrestle when given a chance. My problem was the constant use of weapons. If you're into that kind of stuff it's good but if you're a person who wants see wrestlers using their hands rather than an object it could be ugly to watch. For that reason I'd say it's possibly the worst choice on this list.

I often see people on here complaining about wanting Attitude/NWO era stuff again. Well the closest you're going to get to that is WWE On Demand. I've got it through Comcast/Xfinity and it's well worth the $7.00/month charge on my cable bill. I was just watching an episode of WCW Nitro from 98 a few nights ago, right around when the Wolfpac had formed their own division of NWO, right before the Rodman stuff.

While yes they did use alot of weapons and hardcore wrestling, they did feature quite a few good clean matches ususally tords the top of the card. also their backstage promos were second to none

I grew up with the Attitude Era, but I remember the early WWF in the early 90s. From an entertainment perspective alone, the Attitude Era was leaps ahead of everything else. Factor in the great matches, stables and feuds and it's definitely wrestling at its best. I can't speak for wrestling prior to the 90s, but I can't imagine it being better than that.

My favorite era of pro wrestling has to be the Hulkamania era. That's when I fell in love with pro wrestling and that's when I have the most fond memories of enjoying it. I had no idea that any of it was scripted or anything and I bought into everything. That's when it was fun for me. Now I watch it just hoping that I can catch a good storyline/match at least once a show (I'm usually let down). I honestly don't know why I still watch pro wrestling but I do and I don't plan on stopping.
