Macho Man Randy Savage Dies In Car Accident

http://www.tmz.com/2011/05/20/randy-sav ... r-florida/TMZ spoke with Randy's brother, Lanny Poffo, who tells us the wrestling legend suffered a heart attack while he was behind the wheel around 10 AM ... and lost control of his vehicle.
Earlier this month, Savage celebrated his 1-year anniversary with his new wife Lynn.
Savage was 58.
Macho Man began wrestling in the WWF in 1985 and became a superstar with his trademark catchphrase "Ooooooh Yeaahhhhh."
UPDATE: Florida Highway Patrol tells TMZ ... Savage was driving his 2009 Jeep Wrangler when he veered across a concrete median ... through oncoming traffic ... and "collided head-on with a tree."
Savage was transported to Largo Medical center, where he died from his injuries.
Savage's wife was a passenger in the vehicle during the collision -- but survived with "minor injuries." She was transported to a different local hospital where she was treated.

I think out of all the deaths the wrestling business has had over the years, this one has probably gotten me the most.

I'm legitamately shaken up by this. Not as bad as Eddie, but that's probably because Eddie was still fresh in my mind. But Macho was the truth. I remember actually crying after his match at WM8 with Warrior. He's horribly underrated, IMO.

Man that sucks. Was just watching an interview with Leaping Lanny and he was commenting on how comfortably he was living. Said he'd never need to work again.

Macho was always one of my faves and he seemed to be in a really good place marrying a woman he'd fell in love with decades ago but they lost touch. They reconciled and married shortly after. So its truly sad to see this.

I don't know if you've been watching the past few years, but vince has been extending the olive branch to wrestlers who he's had heat with.

Just checked both WWE and TNA websites. TNA has the story of the death on the front pg, WWE hasn't acknowledged it yet.

How pathetic. They never acknowledged Macho Man's father when he died either.
I'm giving WWE time though, hopefully they put in a video package for tonight.
