Rumored Comebacks

Post#1 » by tugs » Thu Oct 13, 2011 2:39 am

according to some wrestling sites, here are some names rumored/teased/hinting to come back in WWE:

Chris Jericho
-with all the "wrestlers copied me" rants

Mick Foley
-possible RAW GM?
-because of The Rock's comeback?
-color commentator?

Road Dogg
-as a producer

John "Bradshaw" Layfield
-color commentator?

Brock Lesnar
-previewed in WWE '12
-jabbed at SCSA and Taker

Stone Cold Steve Austin
-one more match with Punk/Lesnar?

I want all of them to comeback honestly. Foley and JBL on commentary would be awesome. They'd be great as managers also, so as Road Dogg.

I want SCSA wrestling, but against Punk not with Lesnar. Brock would be great against The Undertaker for "The Streak" match, something like a passing of the torch, but I doubt this will happen since the streak is too valuable. and yeah, I want the original "Best in the World" back full time.

I'll do a top list, ranking in order of how much I want it to happen

1. SCSA comes back at WM to face Punk.
2. Jericho comes back full time.
3. JBL joins Cole and King as the real heel of that group. Cole turns tweener. King as babyface.
4. Mick Foley comes back for one last match, and a backstage role, raw gm? Don't want him announcing, not many spots for him.
5. Brock Lesnar comes back. I have been getting into ufc more and more, so I'd rather have that guy there, but when he's done there, I guess I wouldn't mind him back.
6. Road Dogg wouldn't be bad, but they can't bury him in the mid card roster. Maybe a funny storyline with his brother, the referee. Where Scott Armstrong is always screwing over Road Dogg. Or maybe Billy Gunn comes back with him and they try to get those tag belts revamped.

very nice list CC.

agree with it mostly, though I believe Road Dogg was reported to be working back stage when he comes back and not wrestle, but I love the idea of reuniting the New Age Outlaws.

Foley as GM, hmmm... hopefully him being hardcore can juice up the PG setting and become a little old school with his approach.

before Brock returns I wish he'd have a match against Jon Jones though. (OT and impossible)

I like what I'm hearing...

- Bringing back the New Age Outlaws would be sick. They are very good friends and still wrestle in the indy circuits. One last run to help bring prestige to the tag titles would be sick.

- I keep hearing the rumors of Austin vs Punk. They both said they would do it. Plus this twitter trash talk between the two has to be a set up for it. I don't by it for a second.

- Foley as GM...they did it before. It could easily happen again.

- JBL as commentator would be good. Would be a waaaaaay better heel then Cole.

- As for Brock. He's all MMA now. So if he does one more match at Mania...it won't be till he retires from MMA and that won't happen for a long time.

Road AGENT Dogg. Lawl so corny. Good for him though. D-Lo brown does it for TNA.

I like Foley as an announcer too, but I was taking in to account that JBL would do it, and I like JBL and cole a tad better. One of them should definitely announce.

If anyone can put Cole in his place it's JBL. That booth would kind of need a babyface though.

I would like to see all of them come back:

-Mick Foley as RAW GM and maybe later be part of the commentary once they are done with Foley's role as RAW's GM. I have a hunch we could see him wrestle one last match at Wrestlemania, and my guess his opponent? Vince McMahon...Even though I believe doctors tell Vince not to wrestle anymore so maybe someone else say maybe a one time thing only Shane McMahon or someone else.

-SCSA wrestle one more match at WM against CM Punk

-Brock Lesner return but I do not want him to wrestle SCSA but I wouldn't mind him wrestle say CM Punk if they can't or SCSA decide not to wrestle one last match. Other potential opponents at WM for Brock Lesner Undertaker, or Triple H.

-Jericho return full time even though I believe I read somewhere that if he return maybe part time possible similar when HBK was working for the WWE. Jericho's opponent at WM? Probably make sense it be Randy Orton, or possible triple threat match with Orton & Daniel Bryan(If some how Orton become a world champion again before WM.) for the title. Against CM Punk? I would not mind if no SCSA. One guy it will be a great feud which lead a good wrestling match, and both are good with the mic is the Miz.

-JBL as a play by play or a manager he will be awesome! No pun intended

Miz/Punk vs Y2J makes sense since Jericho claims these 2 are stealing his ideas/moves. and of course Orton since he's the one who "injured" Jericho.

a legit feud for Brock would be against.... BATISTA. dang that is just wishful thinking. or

BOBBY LASHLEY. I believe Brock would get a bigger push if this happens though. or, something I see happening...

JOHN F*CKIN' CENA. something new, fresh. and I don't think Super Cena can withstand "The Pain".

bigtime, heavyweight matches. longshots, but very, VERY possible. :droop:

I think it would be nice to see all those guys back. The ones I'd be most interested in for an actual comeback would be Jericho because he can still work full-time and put on some great matches. If he didn't wrestle, he'd be the perfect guy to turn in to a manager cause of his ability to talk.

Mick Foley, would love to see him return in a GM capacity.

The one guy not on that list that I still want to see make a WWE return is Kurt Angle.

What great match did the New Age Outlaws ever have? It's amazing how overrated they are. It looks like Wrestlemania will be loaded with legends, but I'm not sure how the younger wrestlers would react to that.

Would rather see Lesnar vs Lashley in the UFC.
