Watching him in Fall River was absolutely sad. And eff that promoter who was like show must go on. Refund the money or do something else, that guy was in no shape to be out in the ring like that.

Yeah at first I thought he was drunk/drugged out of his mind...
Which was partially through, but it was due to medication pills he was taking.

It's really sad to see someone who was one of your favorite wrestlers deteriorating in front of your eyes. I can't imagine what his family must be thinking and those close to him. It seems like the Kliq guys have almost given up on trying to help him at this point.
BTW, PJ Polanco in that video, that was Justin Credible/Aldo Montoya?

^ Yes, that was Justin Credible.
I had never heard about Hall killing someone before though. That's nuts.

Sorry if this has already been posted. I hated seeing Scott Hall like this as he use to be my favourite wrestler. Also the promoter near the end is a total scumbag.

Wow that is pretty nuts. I also never knew of him killing somebody before... just another one of these tragic stories of guys on immense amount of pain pills and partying and drugs... I love wrestling stories as I'm fascinated by them, but on the same token, they are almost always horribly tragic and sometimes outright gruesome...

Really sad to see someone fall so far, but we all knew he was in rough shape from the post-NWO days.
I think the INDY promoter is a tool as well, but I'd rather not give him anymore attention as he's probably enjoying it as a result.
Interesting point in the story about Michaels also living that lifestyle, but clearly he went down the opposite path from that point onwards.

The best thing to happen to SM was Hall/Nash leaving, mores Hall. I've heard interviews of their big party days together on the road and how Hunter was mostly DD and stayed clean. Them not being around and him being with Hunter probably helped him out big time.

shawn didn't get clean until 2000 IIRC, Hall went downhill in 1998 when his wife divorced him, I remember he missed a ton of time in WCW due to alcoholism and pills, they even made an angle out of it

Man the things some of these guys do... Obviously Benoit's was the worst of all, but one guy's story who always stood out to me was William Regal, and honorable mentions go out to Eddie Guerrero too. At Regal's pinnacle of drug use, this guy abused them about as bad as anyone could... I'm glad some guys are able to get off them, and straighten up there lives but for some guys it's just a never ending downward spirial. But when you get insights into how bad it is, and hall touched on it in his interview saying "I should be dead 100 times over again"... that's why I always end up thinking. How in the world these guys can even make as long as they do.

I just think Shawn would have been so much worse off with Hall around through those years. Hearing some of the stories of how much drugs they were doing was crazy and to continue that for another 4 years (96-00) would have been crazy. Although he may not have been fully clean, i suspect his usage likely went down from the kliq party days with just him and Hunter there.

And that's the **** thing about addiction. Two guys with similar habits; one managed to get out of it, the other is still haunted to this day. A good rule to be to just never do drugs, but you really never know if you're going to be addicted until you try.

What really seemed to clean Shawn up was retirement. From what I remember through various interviews, when he was forced into retirement he was still pretty bad for a while, then he had a kid and then shortly after hit rock bottom and his wife threatened to leave him if he didn't clean up. Then he cleaned up, found god and he's been good ever since.

The "killing a guy" thing was news to me. The weird thing was that he said he overpowered the guy, got the gun, and shot him in his head. If I wrestled a gun away from someone, I'm not sure that would be my first instinct (I might pin the guy, shoot him in the body, etc). Shooting someone in the head seems to be something that requires more than just instincts... Of course, I've never been in that position, so who knows.

Watched this and it was just sad. He went downhill fast. Story was a real eye opener to the darker side of wrestling.
