The smart choice has to be Xavier Woods, right? :)

I like the card, I am just hoping the Rumble match itself doesn't become too predictable. Would anyone pick anyone other than Batista or Bryan to win it?

The one time of the year I legitimately look forward too.

I like the card. It's nice that it's not just a one-match PPV. Once again, no midcard titles matches. But that seems to be the norm so there's really no point.

Not really sure if there's a favorite. I doubt they'll have Batista win it. That would be such a d*** move if they just slapped him in the mania main event after so many years.

I'd go with CM Punk or Bryan since they haven't won it yet.

Maybe Punk? Being #1 in the rumble means nothing IMO.

Any chance the WWE decides to fast track Reigns and lets him win the Rumble?

Bryan is a combination of wishful thinking and there being a logical story in place for him to win. There's no Rumble-based story line that's been built up that would lead you to believe he'll win. Punk is going to get screwed out of the match somehow and so that really does leave just Batista as a logical, realistic expected winner. Put it this way, if you were going to put money on someone you would be a damn fool not to pick Batista. Part of me thinks that its so obvious that they've kinda got to swerve us, although Cena was just as much a favorite in last year's Rumble as Batista is in this year's. Although that was because it was leading to Cena-Rock and here's the understatement of the year, Batista-Orton is not Cena-Rock.

When is Lesnar supposed to be getting his shot at the title, at the Chamber PPV?

yea, and the year before jericho seemed like an obvious lock and sheamus won and kinda surprised most.

right now, aside from punk/hhh there seems to be a lot of guessing and speculation going on for the mania card. perhaps it's just wishful thinking that it wont be orton/batista and hoping that the completely obviousness of his win is why he wont

but the only one i can see winning aside from batista is bryan. or for the ultimate swerve/troll, cena losing the title and entering the rumble match and winning leading to a possible triple threat at mania

That 2005 rumble commercial is outstanding.

I think Bryan would be the most obvious swerve choice with his Wyatt feud likely coming to an end in the same night, they haven't even announced him for the rumble match yet, he's over as hell, etc.

If the winner isn't Batista, D-Bry would definitely be my second guess.

For a more unlikely swerve, how about Cena winning the title and Sandow winning the rumble, with Damian Sandow getting his revenge at Mania for the failed cash in.

Sheamus was a legitimate swerve, but that was also because everyone, as it turned out correctly, assumed we were going to get Punk-Jericho. That type of swerve isn't possible anymore. I guess its possible, the guy could use his rumble title match at the Elimination Chamber or his #1 contendership is on the line in an Elimination Chamber match (if Bryan wins the match, I think that's actually a really good idea obviously as long as Bryan still wins the Elimination Chamber match.) I do agree that if its not Batista, it'll probably be Bryan.

I was actually thinking around some idea like that. Bryan wins the Rumble and Cena wins the title at the Rumble. Orton demands a one on one title match. Trips says we need an Elimination Chamber match, so he puts Bryan's champion shot on the line and puts him in the chamber against Brock, Batista, Wyatt, Sheamus and maybe Del Rio. I have a feeling Punk is going to face Kane at EC as a prelude to his match with Trips.

Definitely my favorite PPV of the year with Money in the Bank being second. I'm gonna try to get in the 92' Rumble before tomorrow night. That's a **** classic.

If you told me Bryan or Batista isn't going to win, I'd probably actually guess Punk, but assuming its not one of those 3 my guess would be either Reigns, Big E or Lesnar. It seems like they're higher on Reigns than Big E but I don't know if you can have him win the Rumble, Big E if he was hotter wouldn't be a bad choice. Lesnar while he did just kinda declare himself number one contender I guess this could be a more formal way for him to have that title.

Kinda hoping theres a swerve and someone like Reigns wins it, or at least in the last 3. Batista winning it makes for a terrible road to WM so it'll probably happen.

I can't see Big E winning. I just don't feel he's over enough at all. He did just get pinned clean by Seth Rollins not long ago.

I can see Punk running the table and then getting screw eliminated by Kane. Batista looks like he will win, but it's almost too obvious. Hopefully, I'm praying D-Bry breaks through. IDK what they are waiting on with him.

Reigns or Big E would be cool, it's hard for me to envision either of them getting that type of push until after WM at the earliest though. Lesnar would make some sense, but if he wins Orton shouldn't be his WM opponent.

I'm certaintly not predicting Big E to win or anything close to that. But when you get past the top 2-3 guys, this rumble is short on realistic, viable winning options. And in an alternate universe (or maybe next year's Rumble) where Big E's current push had begun 6 months earlier he'd be a top candidate to win the Rumble.

Still don't get the appeal of a guy like Big E really. He's clearly being pushed and may eventually get a title shot but I'm certainly not a fan of his.
