Predict WM 31

Post#1 » by skbucks1985 » Wed Jan 14, 2015 4:07 pm

Get this thread in before the Rumble when we'll have a better idea of what the card will look like. Its somewhat exciting (would be more exciting if I had more faith in them) that there's so much uncertainty on our end as to what the card will look like. We're probably getting HHH vs Sting, but beyond that there's a lot of uncertainty. So, here's my card:

Bryan vs Lesnar
Sting vs HHH
Randy Orton vs Seth Rollins
Cena vs Rusev
Ambrose vs Reigns (I bet you didn't see that one coming)
Bray Wyatt vs Undertaker
The Uso's vs Kane and Big Show
Charlotte vs Nikki Bella
30 man battle royal

Ziggler and to a lesser extent Ryback are the main ones that get the short shift in this card. I'm just not sure where Ziggler fits in. I like the idea of him vs Rusev but I doubt that's where they go. He would seem to be the guy to step in and feud with Bray should Undertaker not be able to go.

Ambrose v Reigns is a pretty great idea. Turn Ambrose heel at the RR and then let them feud into Mania. That gives Roman a pretty big individual storyline for this year. Then they plan on 2016 as the year they push Roman.

But I'm leaning towards for more than a year Vince has known he wanted Lesnar v Reigns at 2015 WM thus Reigns 2014 RR performance, Lesnar beating streak, Lesnar destroying Cena, etc. and that he stays stubborn.

Lesnar (c) v Reigns (title)
HHH v Sting
Cena v Rusev
Orton v Rollins
Undertaker v Wyatt
Bryan and Ryback v Big Show and Kane (ok I'm being cynical here since any Bryan WM match that involves the Kane storyline would be beyond horrible, but not sure where to put Bryan if not in Lesnar match. Hoping for Big Show v Kane retirement match
Nikki Bella (c) v Natalya (Diva's title)
Miz/Mizdow (c) v The Ascension vs The Usos vs A New Day (Tag Team titles)
Ziggler v Ambrose

I don't know if there's enough room for a Miz v Mizdow match and a different Tag Team Title Match so I went with Miz and Mizdow not breaking up until after WM

I'm really interested to see what they do with Rusev. Can you imagine if he beats Cena?

I'm confident Bryan will be in a big match. That means no Kane.

I think this is pretty damn close. Good job with zigs and co. Couldn't place them for the life of me. I also think the divas match will be a three way with Nikki, Paige, and Natty. Paige has to get the mania pay day. She's the best they've got by far.

I like the idea of either reigns or Ziggler fighting Rusev. I think everyone's waiting for him to get fed to Cena and it just bums everyone out and will put an end to him

But if he's not in the main event or vs Rusev idk where he'd go

Rusev losing to Cena wouldn't be the dumbest thing they've done in years. Those two need to stay the hell away from each other until the issue forces itself.

Unless Cena is in a title match I think its almost a slam dunk that its him vs Rusev. Once you get off that tippy top tier there isn't a common sense opponent for him. There are scenarios you can come up with but Rusev is the guy that just makes sense. And its an easy story to start: Hogan comes out and does his shtick, Rusev interrupts him, Cena makes the save and we're off to the races. And I don't want to see it but only because I'm near certain Cena will win and he's absolutely the wrong person to beat Rusev. Its fits him character-wise, but in other respects its a bad move. Rusev should ideally be a stepping stone for a babyface, but I don't have a huge problem with it being an established guy. But the main reason is that Rusev's first real loss should be this euphoric moment with people high-fiving and waving american flags. Cena will never get that type of reaction. It should be a pure baby face, there isn't a guy that fits the bill perfectly but I'd say Reigns is the closest to it.

While that's fake, one of the more credible indications I've heard that is in fact the direction they're going is that at Axxess they do the signings and they've got two levels of VIP, the regular VIP and the special premium VIP rate for five guys. And they've already sent out the mailers and those 5 guys are Cena, Hogan, HHH, Sting and Roman Reigns.

Could mean something, could not mean something. Those same guys did that 2K reveal pannel around Summer Slam, just with Cesaro & Sheamus in place of HHH. Could just be that those guys are just their go-to guys for these sort of things.

I hear if you pay an extra 50 bucks, Roman will call one of your exes and call them a b*tch.

You're also only allowed photos with him if you make him look strong in said photo.

Everyone does the fan axxess. Not literally everyone, Brock doesn't, Taker doesn't. But the vast, vast majority of the roster (and more than a few legends) do it. And most guys are just part of the regular package. Then you have a VIP section this is where you'll have Bryan, Ambrose, Ziggler, I think Bret Hart and HBK are in this section as well. But even beyond that is the premium VIP, i.e. these are the guys that are the ones that they believe will attract the absolute top dollar. And Reigns being there would seem to indicate him being in a top position at WM.

Agreed that's why think they could choose Ziggler/Rusev. Ziggler would get the unanimous pop, Ziggler would have lots of his never say die stuff in the match, it's mini version of Bryan/Brock for little guy overcoming big guy story. Plus if we assume they're not ready to make Ziggler main event material by this Wrestlemania, if they put him even more over by fighting Rusev, then he becomes main event candidate
