Holy sh*t.
ROH vs TNA??
ROH will air 1 hour before TNA starts, Destination America can drop TNA in the Fall.
I believe this is the first time a Network has had a contract with TWO Wrestling Companies.
Is this an "Invasion" ploy by Destination America to draw ratings? If so it worked, cause I'm definitely going to tune in to ROH and TNA now.
This is huge for the Wrestling Industry.

It seems like they're just putting the show they've been airing regionally for years a few days after the show will air on the Sinclair channels and the deal is through the end of the year. I think this move is brilliant by ROH as I don't think the end-game is to be TNA's lead-in on Destination America. I think this is basically a trial run and if they do decent numbers on Destination America they an go to other cable networks and say 'We did this on Destination America, this number is what we can do on your network.'

Until Destination America is available to Comcast/Xfinity subscribers, without having to upgrade your cable package, I don't see any of these shows really making a dent. I have 300+ channels and Destination America isn't one of them, and I don't even have the cheapest cable package available.

I read on another forum that the deal with ROH is for 26 weeks, and the TNA deal is up in September. I can't imagine we'll see both of them on the air at this time next year. This looks to be a true tryout for both brands.

At any given time, how many of those channels is broadcasting either
American Pickers or
Pawn Stars? 15, 20 percent?

I'd love to think that was true, but even if you consolidated the two fanbases, it wouldn't even approach what is needed to justify what TNA spends on their product.

Give or take a couple percent, yes.

Agreed - though it Is a smart move by ROH, because Destination America has the audience already built in, so ROH gets all the TNA fans. And after TNA gets cut, ROH jumps over TNA as the #2 wrestling organi$ation in the US.

Too bad they couldn't land this during their glory days. Danielson, Joe, Tyler Black, Mr. Wrestling Kevin Steen, kings of wrestling, etc

Actually I remember back around the 1999-2000 range a local Chicago station (WCiU) on saturday nights used to have WWF, WCW, ECW back to back to back! Now granted they were WWF and WCWS C-rate shows (WWF shotgun and WCW worldwide) that featured mostly jobbers with occasional mid-carder thrown in, but it was still a unique set up having all 3 promotions on one channel in a 3 hour block

I don't think the issue with ROH has ever been there talent or creative, the issue was and still is production and distribution. They've always had a very good roster. There creative has always been quite good, at the very end of Jim Cornette's run was a little rough but they've long since recovered from that. They've got 4 of the best tag teams in the world even though The Briscoe's only tag sporadically, Adam Cole is as good a prospect as you'll find, Roderick Strong has really taken his game to the next level this year, Jay Lethal has made an incredible transformation from being a comedy babyface to being a really good heel and while AJ Styles is on limited dates but he does PPV's and most TV tapings and he might be the best wrestler in the world.
And if I were to offer one critique of the roster its of a guy that's one of the most talented guys on the roster, Jay Briscoe. But as good as Briscoe is they're the de facto number 2 wrestling promotion in the United States now and I'm not sure the centerpiece babyface of that company should be a guy that when you google his name one of the first things that comes up is him making some incredibly vile comments or when you do a google image search one of the first images is him in confederate flag regalia.

hadn't seen either in a while until last night.
Lethal holding both belts was a surprise.
and MAH BOY TREVOR LEE is a main player in the GFW invasion angle.
