Poll: Big Show v Kane - Loser is Fired Match

Post#1 » by Stannis » Mon Sep 21, 2015 5:30 pm

My brother and I were talking how these two are so boring and annoying. Whenever they are in an event, it's just a punch in our gut. We said they could never could make a meaningful match. They are always there to lose to a wrestler and give them a "push", but it just doesn't mean anything.

And they switched face/heel like 20 times.

But there is one meaningful match they could do I said. A "You're Fiiiirreeeeed!" match.

Who would you want to lose (get fired)?

It's a touch one. But I have to go with Kane. Because he always seems to have a more important role around the title holder.

Easily Kane. I've enjoyed quite a few Big Show matches/feuds. I've never enjoyed a Kane match.

Big Show.

I lost it last Monday when they put Show in a match with Sting. Yeah we've never seen Sting wrestle in RAW, but we've seen him wrestle Big Show many time on Nitro.(In way better matches)

Yeesh, that's a tough one. The last time I was entertained by Kane was "Hell No"...I can't even remember the last time I was entertained by Big Show. (Side note: it also drives me nuts that Show's finisher...punching a guy...should mean that his matches last about six seconds. Drive a guy into the corner, punch him, three-count, done.)

I think what really bothers me is both guys aren't really that bad as actors. They're just booked so poorly and their matches are so dreary that I can't stand to watch either on television.

I guess I'd rather see Show go first, knowing that Kane's got to be near the end of his career and won't be around THAT long either.

For me... Sheamus vs Big Show, DB vs Big Show, Cody Rhodes vs Big Show, ADR vs Big Show. Jerishow was OK too.

As long as he isn't put with Cena, or something with a main event storyline, he's consistently good. Kane stinks everywhere.

If I had to pick one, it's easily Big Show. He can barely even move any more and all his matches are five minutes long and terrible. Kane at least is still a relatively functional wrestler, even if he's just really boring.

I'd prefer for Kane to be gone too, or at least in a very, very part time role like Undertaker. I could stomach one or two Kane matches a year at PPVs, but as a regular wrestler? His time is gone.

This.

But if I can't have my cake and eat it too, I'd want Kane gone. Like Stanford said I can remember being entertained by Show in recent memory. Can't say the same for Kane. Show actually mixes things up in his matches too. He still TRIES to put on good matches. With Kane it's literally the same thing every time he steps in a ring.

id choose show to get fired

kane is great in a lesser role, he's got great comedic timing and can cut a pretty good promo. i think he's great in an odd couple tag team, kane/bryan were the best tag team of recent memory and kane with xpac was great back in the day. i even like at times kane in this authority role. really as long as its not singles match i like kane.

show can be decent but i could take it or leave it

I was going to add that option, but that would make it too easy. ;)

Big Show.

You can't fire Kane with all the stories told with The Undertaker. Too much history to just "fire."

Dude, fired superstars always comeback. Retirement match would be ideal.

So I'm going with Show. Kane is really good with whatever gimmick he's given, albeit poor storyline.

I prefer Big Show in the ring, his size is still usable there. Kane is better on the mic but both are solid. Overall I prefer Big Show as performer but Kane has better character

The main problem with the Big Show and Kane thing is when they get put in a Raw main event tag match. If they just never did that again I'd be happy. Big Show/Kane Raw tag main events are the single worst thing in all of WWE for me and inexplicable when if they just had a rotation of heels like Luke Harper or Rusev or whatever thrown in there to end up AA'd by Cena it'd be more entertaining and wouldn't feel like less of a main event

Would it be awesome to have nostalgia matches? Pit old timers against each other but the catch is they won't be competing for at least a year.

This one is easily show for me. He is so 1 dimensional and stale. Kane has been pretty funny in the past with DB and I like him in the authority role as well. Espeically when he's beefing with Seth or going all rogue and doing what he wants. Even as the demon kane I don't mind him in the ring when they actually book him strong.

Pretty crazy timing that this thread went up and then almost immediately after, Kane does the most interesting work he's done since Hell No!

I've never seen the appeal in Big Show, aside from his entrance music!

Fire show for sure. I think Kane could still potentially play a decent role, he's just been made so damn awful in this corporate Kane role. I don't want to see him in any more we title matches but he could be in a decent story now with taker hopefully for one last time teaming up.

Double pin so they both get fired

though if i had to choose one, would go with Big Show, Kane can let other guys look good at least, Big Show can barely move

also didn't this main event the cardiff house show or something like that (BIg Show vs Kane that is)
