WWE posted this about Paige today, pretty much confirming she'll be returning in the future.

http://www.wwe.com/article/paige-return-wwe-performance-center

"Paige is a two-time Divas Champion and became the youngest Superstar to hold the title when she captured it during her Raw debut at the age of 21. If her return his imminent, as this post is leading many in the WWE Universe to believe, consider the women of Raw and SmackDown LIVE officially put on notice.

She'll debut, cut a promo, then Asuka dismantles her right then and there.

WWE justice.

rip Heenan, one of the all time great heels

Also on Starrcade, its a good idea (it was the starrcade event after all) but for it just to be a smackdown event. Come on, it has to be a big 4 or 5. Its starrcade, it was the 2nd biggest PPV of the year before.

You missed his best years in the 70s with Albano and Blassi.

Wasn't there a thing about how WWE wouldn't invite Heenan to be honored at a company event because of his appearance after all the facial surgeries? I thought I read something about that.

Heenan v Hogan was THE thing that kept WWF going for years after Hogan & Piper had run its course

Didn't matter what guy faced Hogan cause Heenan sold it with his promos.

For us older dudes he was the heel manager to end all heel managers during the mid 80s boom period

Classic Heenan stuff other than Andre:

With Rick Rude
Vs Red Rooster Terry Taylor

Most of the stuff with Gene and Gorilla after he stopped being a manager.

His general commentary tbh

The 92 Rumble is the go to though. If commentators can have a 5 star match that was Heenan's!

In WCW:

His natural reaction to the third man

His reactionary F bomb to Brian Pillman on a Nitro (if memory serves)

I entered a dark age around that time so not many WCW highlights unfortunately but Heenan will always be remembered for his WWF work anyway since his commentary with Gorilla was glorious

And old guys like me remember Heenan back to his days in the AWA - where he was the ultimate manager - helping to make Nick Bockwinkle the biggest star in the promotion and managing The Blackjacks and the team of Bockwinkle and Ray "The Crippler" Stevens. And when Hogan was developing his craft before going to the WWF, he was doing it against Heenan's men in the AWA - with Heenan usually getting heavily involved with both the promos and the matches. And whenever Hogan lost, it was because of Heenan's interference.

Tony Schiavone and Bobby Heenan was the best duo since i started watching wrestling Wasn't old enough to truly appreciate his early days with Gorilla.

Random fact: Shawn Michaels was 37 years old when he returned for his final WWE run in 2002. Daniel Bryan is 36.

I just don't see WWE clearing Bryan with the concussion lawsuit ongoing. It's just not going to happen. Maybe he goes somewhere else and takes the risk, but I can't see it in WWE.

AGREE OR DISAGREE:

17th Title vs Career (either Cena wins his 17th or he retires) is the biggest match WWE can do in the next decade.

Similar concept to HBK/Undertaker's Streak vs Career at WrestleMania 26. For age comparison, Cena will be 46 at WrestleMania 40, Shawn Michaels was 45 at WrestleMania 26.

yeah i'd say it is. Title vs Career with Cena is about one of the few big matches they could do right now that is legit huge. Whoever retires Cena will be made (unless its reigns it seems, that would actually get heat).

Problem is they'll just have Reigns do it and it will go over like every other attempt to make Reigns the guy has gone.

This is a little pedantic, but how exactly are we defining a big match? If its something that would lead to a real uptick network subscriptions, I'd disagree. The Rock is probably the only person that they can bring in and be confident they'd see an uptick. Ronda maybe, but her star has dimmed pretty significantly since the mixed tag match was being discussed.

I think a Cena title vs career match is probably a significantly amplified version of Reigns vs Cena. A match with a ton of buzz inside the wrestling bubble, but doesn't produce much outside of it.
