WWE Backlash (May 21st, 2017)

WWE Championship: Randy Orton vs Jinder Mahal

Image
United States Championship: Kevin Owens vs AJ Styles

Image
SD Tag Team Championship: The Usos vs Breezango

Image
Shinsuke Nakamura vs Dolph Ziggler

Image
Naomi, Charlotte, Becky Lynch vs Natalya, Tamina, Carmella

I guess Sami Zayn vs Baron Corbin will be announced next week.

Could be solid PPV (like every SD-Event), but nothing really special. I doubt there will be any title changes (no "surprises" like Payback).

Predictions:
Charlotte, Naomi, Becky over Natalya, Carmella, Tamina
Kevin Owens retains his title (via DQ or countout)
Randy Orton remains champion
The Usos over Breezango
Shinsuke Nakamura squashes Dolph Ziggler

Hardbody Mahal is main eventing a ppv. What a time to be alive!

I feel like Owens/Styles will end up being the actual main event.

I think either Orton/Mahal or Owens/Styles main event and/or open the show. Just can't decide which one does which.

Nobody does, least of all WWE creative. They flip her back and forth between face and heel depending on which other female needs an opponent that week.

She gets virtually no mic time, which is okay if she's an enforcer, but enforcers have to dominate opponents and Tamina hardly ever wins any matches.

She's always just kind of...there.

I am going to make one bold prediction....

I predict a swerve during the diva six tag match with Charlotte turn on them and join with the Welcome committee or whatever their name is. I smell a four horsewoman on the rise.

I'd love another Uso's/Harper&Rowan feud. They had some great matches a few years ago

Crazy thing about this Dolph/Shinsuke feud, Dolph is younger than Nakamura

I think Nak should've won in dominant fashion. Usos/Breezango was so much better than I thought it'd be. Just plain fun

SD Women's division is awful. Welcoming Committee is just a terrible idea.

Asuka needs to come in and destroy everyone.

Been a pretty good show so far. That finish wasn't great but I ad I think many others knew that this match probably wouldn't have a clean ending

Interesting that WWE has cast aside the whole ending a show on a high note theory

I hope Mahal wins. I was sick of Orton the second he got the title. It's been a horrible run.
