Hopefully some more matches get added, there is still a good amount of talent not on the card. Black, Ohno, McIntyre, Almas, Dain.

This is why I don't like Bate/Dunne being on the card.

I'm not going to complain about seeing a Tyler Bate/Pete Dunne match being on the card. If there's a problem it's that Black, Ohno, McIntyre, Almas, Dain aren't involved in storylines leading up to the ppv. There will probably be an Ohno vs. Almas match added to the card, and Dain will likely be involved in EY's match with Roddy, but Black and McIntyre aren't involved in anything currently so it wouldn't even make sense to have them on the card other than having squash matches.

This, to me, is why NXT desperately needs to add a secondary men's title. They have a very stacked roster of talented guys, but mostly they spin the wheels for anyone not involved in a top feud. Adding a secondary title would both be a potential jumping off point for guys they eventually want to push as NXT main eventers, but it could also be used to push developmental guys (like Dillinger, for example) who may not have the star power to main event PPVs right now but could really benefit from holding some gold and getting some solid wins.

I can at least forgive them for some of these guys not being in feuds yet, though. McIntyre and Black just debuted recently, and both are being built up as future top guys. Ohno has been back for like four months now, though. Dain longer. Same with Almas. At least Almas has a story going, though. He's losing because he's not focused on wrestling and is partying too much, and I assume there will be some payoff to that where he finally snaps. No idea why they're doing nothing with Ohno considering he's over and is a great worker.

Honestly, I wouldn't even mind seeing a Sanity vs. Ohno, Strong, and McIntyre match added, if only because the last Sanity multi-man tag match was a hell of a lot of fun and was a perfect opener for the last Takeover. All three Sanity guys are good workers, Strong is an elite worker, and Ohno and McIntyre are top-tier as well. Do the same thing, but this time give the good guys a nice, decisive win to push Strong as a future NXT guy.

Edit: You could also have a multi-man match for the secondary title to give more guys a spot on Takeovers. Like, what would stop them from having a European Title (just throwing that out there since it's a defunct WWE title...it could be called anything else) match between Strong, Almas, McIntyre, Ohno, Dain, and Young? That match gives you three heels, three faces, a lot of great workers, and a match that can be worked in a sprint style. You can also have literally anyone win that without making other guys look weak since it's no DQ.

their womans title picture is shot, the angle they where working too is now done and you don't really have a capable candidate.

Cross - Too early, she should be champion eventually but she should have been the champion after Moon really, would be way too early to have her win it here
Riot - HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, yeah no. might actually be less believable than the aussie's winning it

I actually really hope Itami wins the title here. Look i like McIntyre but Itami should be granted the title that was promised to him at Tokyo. Let him win the belt and drop it to a Heel McIntyre at the last PPV of the year.

I think Dunne should win the UK title, he's such a good heel, Bate is good but Dunne is the total package now and a right prick, like the Miz kind of prick, a proper heel that isn't likeable in any way, really speaking, for the UK shows, thats what you want. Everyone trying to beat the heel champ at the top.

AOP are going to murder DIY, i'm convinced of it.

Young vs Strong should be interesting. I honestly think it could go either way but leaning towards Strong due to recent buildup (which they've stepped up)

Either way one of the best buildups since the end of the golden era.

I think Asuka was going to retain here anyway. Hard to see her dropping the belt in a four way match. I think they were building up to Ember taking it from her at Brooklyn III, and I think that's still the case, provided of course Ember is healthy by then. Prior to Ember's injury, my guess would have been Asuka cheating (the match is no DQ) to win yet again. They may still go that route, but regardless the money match here is Asuka/Moon II, and I think that still happens at Takeover: Brooklyn.

It's also possible that someone like Kairi Hojo shows up after the match and lays out Asuka, which would be a perfect set-up for Hojo winning the upcoming women's tournament, which I assume will come with a shot at the NXT Women's Title.

I'd say Moon should win it first, then maybe Kairi down the road should get it when Ember is moving up. No need to rush Kairi into the title picture immediately, after all she's spent her whole career at Stardom, let her get accustomed to America and the WWE style first.

I don't disagree, but a lot of this depends on how long Ember is out. If it's just a month or two, no big deal. She can still win the title in Brooklyn. If it's longer, you need to start planning ahead. And Kairi/Asuka could be a fantastic feud. I think I've read they dislike each other in real life too.

Another path is to have Asuka just vacate the title when she moves up. Then you could either give it to the winner of the women's tournament or have the winner of that tournament face the winner of an NXT women's tournament to determine the new champ.

Ember is the logical next step, though. She's definitely one of the best workers in the NXT women's division.

That was already the match I was most looking forward to, but that news is a nice cherry on top.

Spoiler:
Odds we see Adam Cole tonight? I'd say pretty high.

Dunne
Strong
AOP
Asuka
Roode

And I think Adam Cole will be in the audience. If a face were champ, I could see him laying out that face after the title match, but I think Cole will debut as a heel and it wouldn't make much sense then to have him go after Roode, who I think is definitely walking out champ. Strong is my pick for next NXT champ.

Ok I guess it was a good decision to put Bate/Dunne on the card
