WWE Great Balls of Fire (July 9th, 2017)

Post#1 » by Mich3006 » Wed Jul 5, 2017 2:28 pm

WWE Universal Championship: Brock Lesnar (c) vs Samoa Joe
Image

Ambulance Match: Roman Reigns vs Braun Strowman
Image

WWE Raw Women´s Championship: Alexa Bliss (c) vs Sasha Banks
Image

Seth Rollins vs Bray Wyatt
Image

WWE Intercontinental Championship: The Miz (c) vs Dean Ambrose
Image

WWE Raw Tag Team Championship - 30 minute Ironman match: Cesaro & Sheamus (c) vs The Hardy Boyz
Image

Enzo Amore vs Big Cass
Image

Kickoff-Show Match:
WWE Cruiserweight Championship: Neville (c) vs Aikra Tozawa
Image

It´s a nice lineup overall, still can´t believe the PPV-name though. I guess Finn Balor vs Elias Samson could happen as well.

My predictions
Brock Lesnar over Samoa Joe
Braun Strowman wins
Alexa Bliss retains her title
Cesaro & Sheamus wins (Hardy Boyz split...)
Bray Wyatt over Seth Rollins
The Miz retains his title
Big Cass destroys Enzo
Neville wins

Pretty excited for this one for a few matches. Brock and Joe could be great if Lesnar even gives half a ****. Will be fun watching Cass murder Enzo. Banks/Bliss will be good im sure and the tag match as well.

Pretty pathetic that they don't have Finn on the ppv. Thanks Seth.

Braun Strowman is the biggest face in the WWE right now.

Love Strowman - They should have Brock and Strowman destroy everyone up until WM - Would be crazy build up for 2 beasts.

Have a feeling Reigns wins though.

It depends what direction they want to go. If they still want to do Strowman/Lesnar at Summerslam, he almost has to win here, right?

Yeah direction is key - Not sure what path they wanna go down for sure.

Lesnar vs. Strowman crushing everyone up until WM would be a fantastic build up and make many excited heading into wrestling's biggest stage.

Lesnar/Reigns is the only WM34 main event match that makes sense. The only 2 guys that beat Undertaker at WM have to go 1 on 1 with each other at a WM.

It might make sense, but it's also going to be yet another Wrestlemania main event that gets booed out of the damn building, which means three years running of that crap.

You could argue four years, but since Seth came out and won the title four years ago and the crowd loved it, I don't count that one.

rather would not be subjected to that match for at third (or fourth) time. We desperately need something fresh now (and for WWE to give it a rest with the Reigns agenda).

Also Lesnar vs Strowman i think is where the money is.

The timing to end that tag match was spot on. Just impressed they pulled it off perfectly.

Awesome finish to that tag match. Couldn't do that any better. Great ring work and told a great story.

how many dusty finishes are we up to?

First Bray (totally makes sense for a monster heel to be winning via cheating, that did no one any favours) and then Neville (though they need Tozawa to look strong now that Aries is gone).

I enjoyed Enzo vs Cass for what it was, i thought Cass would kill him further (lets be honest he should have been a worse squash), also the promo on Enzo and the pop for him, he could be a real underdog babyface.

All in all I would say it was a pretty dominant match. Cass didn't even break a sweat

it could have been a lot shorter if he wanted to i guess. It was expected, Enzo was never going to beat him in a straight fight. Though if he kicked out of the big boot that would have been something.

And dusty finish is technically the ref getting knocked out, a new ref coming in, then the old ref reversing the decision. Just sayin :D

please tell me this leads to matt being broken again (just buy the damn thing already) and i think we're up to 3 on dusty finishes (maybe 4?).
