main event and flag match is absolute wank (2 different flavours of the same feud really). that aside, i think it should be a decent or good show. If Nakamura decides he wants to go for it he'll bring out a fantastic match out of Corbin.

Tag team match is the match i'm looking forward to the most, Styles vs Owens should be match of the night but The Uso's vs New Day out of nowhere may be the most interesting feud.

Woman's 5 way could be a mess but really, their are only 2 options, any other option is badly wrong. Lynch or Charlotte have to go to Summerslam and take the title off of Naomi. Any other option, especially for summerslam, and they're doing the division a huge disservice (Lana and Tamina are rubbish wrestlers and Natalya, as good as she is in ring, doesn't have the charisma to carry that feud).

The fact that Sami hasn't made the PPV is a disgrace though, after AJ he's the best wrestler in the company (and its not particularly close either, only Cesaro or a guy on that level is somewhat their in ring). are you telling me you couldn't fit his match with Mike Bennett/Kanellis on.

My Predictions:

Flag Match: John Cena vs. Rusev

• Baron Corbin vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

• United States Championship: AJ Styles (c) vs. Kevin Owens

• SmackDown Tag Team Championships: The Uso's (c) vs. The New Day

• SmackDown Women's Championship #1 Contender's Elimination Match: Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Lana vs. Natayla vs. Tamina

• WWE Championship Punjabi Prison Match: Jinder Mahal (c) w/ The Singh Brothers vs. Randy Orton

my hopes:

Flag Match: John Cena vs Rusev

• Baron Corbin vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

• United States Championship: AJ Styles (c) vs. Kevin Owens

• SmackDown Tag Team Championships: The Uso's (c) vs. The New Day

• SmackDown Women's Championship #1 Contender's Elimination Match: Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Lana vs. Natayla vs. Tamina

• WWE Championship Punjabi Prison Match: Jinder Mahal (c) w/ The Singh Brothers vs. Randy Orton - Neither, Corbin cashes in and saves us from what has to be the worst WWE title feud in at least 5 years.

The card is lackluster and mediocre at best IMO and another proof that there are way too much PPV´s right now. It´s weird that a fresh matchup like Kanellis vs Zayn didn´t make the PPV especially with a kickoff-match between Dillinger and English.

Since Wrestlemania, Smackdown got a little bit boring in comparison to last year and even to RAW. I really hope Battleground will be the end for every feud (except Usos/New Day) because Styles vs Owens and especially Mahal and Orton are done (Orton needs a timeout urgently).

The roster could produce some solid matches for Summerslam though.

How do you cash in during a Punjabi Prison Match though? Lol

You'd have to climb over both structures, tell the ref you're cashing in, then climb back out?

after the match they could maybe? hell, maybe have both of them basically lying down and Baron grabs a chainsaw and gets in that way (also if he cashed in, its a normal match i think).

Idk, I've always wondered about that.

What if there's a Ladder Match going on, both participants are down on the outside, MITB winner comes and cashes in. All he has to do is climb the ladder and grab the title, right?

Technically the MITB winner is joining the current match in progress (the Seth Rollins way), which in the Jinder/Orton situation would be a Punjabi Prison Match.

I think in a gimmick match, when you cash in, it just is a matter of pinning or submitting rather than following the gimmick, granted they've never done a cash in during a gimmicked match that i can recall so i don't know.

So yes Corbin joins the match but i don't know if it then becomes a normal pinfall or submission match.

I would assume that, if Corbin cashes in during the match, it would become a triple threat, but he'd have to enter the cage first to be eligible. It would still be a Punjabi Prison match, though.

If he cashed in after the match ended, it would just be a regular match one-on-one with whoever wins.

then he should do that, anything to save us from either of these scrubs being champion.

The problem I have is that cashing in on Mahal doesn't really get him any heat, and Orton definitely shouldn't win only to lose it immediately just to pad his title count.

When you have a heel cashing in, you need them to cash in on an uber face to get some serious heat, preferably after that face just went through hell to either win or retain the title. Personally, I think they should set up Zayn for a run at the title at Summerslam. Smackdown's title match is going to be below Raw's anyway, so why not put a top performer in there and let him do his thing. Have him win it, then have Corbin cash in and screw him out of the title. Instant heat for Corbin, and you can run a Corbin/Zayn program for the next PPV. Zayn makes everyone look good, especially if you give him the time and the platform.

that's fine. I don't even care if Orton wins and they have Corbin cash in, get the rematch done on smackdown so they can do Corbin and Nakamura/Styles/Zayn/Cena/anyone not named Randy Orton or Jinder Mahal.

Also the reason this isn't as high as the universal title is 100% because of Vince and his insistence of putting the belt on a jobber like Mahal and ruining this brand because he can't stand to see anything beat Raw (even though Raw was/is the worst wrestling show on the planet right now).

Totally agree that Jinder and Orton need to be out of the title picture. Jinder should just be out of a job. Dude has a good look I guess but he is just boring in the ring and his mic work isn't impressive.

That would be awesome.
Use the chainsaw to get in. Let the ref ring the bell and just walk out the way you came in.
Boom, new champ.

I think this PPV will be a lot better than people are expecting it to be.

1P. Aiden English vs. Tye Dillinger - Not even sure why or when this match was made.

1. Mike Kanellis w/ Maria Kanellis vs. Sami Zayn - WWE loves 50/50 booking.

2. SmackDown Tag Team Championships: The Uso's (c) vs. The New Day - New Day don't need the titles to be/stay over.

3. Baron Corbin vs. Shinsuke Nakamura - Gotta make sure your future WWE Champion looks good.

4. Breezango vs. Harper and Rowan - Luke Harper is too good to not be on TV.

5. Flag Match: John Cena vs. Rusev - Rusev needs to look good in defeat. I want a babyface Rusev so bad.

6. United States Championship: AJ Styles (c) vs. Kevin Owens - AJ winning the title at MSG was for business reasons imo. KO needs that title back.

7. SmackDown Women's Championship #1 Contender's Elimination Match: Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Lana vs. Natayla vs. Tamina - Becky vs Charlotte is clearly the WrestleMania match for the SD Women's division. Getting the title on Charlotte, while getting here more over as a face (Carmella) is the right move.

8. WWE Championship Punjabi Prison Match: Jinder Mahal (c) w/ The Singh Brothers vs. Randy Orton - Jinder just isn't clicking. I doubt it will happen here, but a Corbin cash in would be the best option for this feud. Orton is a better choice right now for Champion than Jinder.

sounds about right. Only thing is that the MITB case holder never wins for whatever reason.

Also if Charlotte did win, wouldn't she be the heel in a feud with Naomi?

AJ/Owens ending was weird.

He won that clean, and the ref being "out" made no difference in the match.

Flag match is definitely one of the 5 worst stipulation matches
