I'm thinking injury.

Or rather, I'm hoping.
Kobe Bryant was asked who he feels is the toughest opponent to guard in the NBA. Instead of picking OKC's Kevin Durant, Bryant went with Portland’s Brandon Roy.

"Roy 365 days, seven days a week. Roy has no weaknesses in his game."

Either way, he didn't seem to be cleared for any bumps. Two low blows and a knee shot that doesn't really require a real bump.

It really does feel like they're deliberately sabotaging him, because all his matches are ten minutes too long and boring as f*ck.

This show's got a long way to go just to end up better than NXT weekly taping from four days ago.

This is definitely the worst WWE PPV in years. And that's saying something, because they've had some stinkers. Jesus.

Well, I stopped watching Raw and Smackdown entirely months ago. I'll give WWE Summerslam and if that's as godawful as this show, I'll probably be done with WWE entirely outside of 205 and NXT. It just seems like the product has gotten progressively worse over the past four or five years since I started watching again.

At any rate, would you actually say with a straight face that you think this has been a good show? Come on, man.

At least the main event has gotten good the past five or ten minutes. The first half was bad.

I respect the level to which Vince will go to give the crowd an FU, though. Like, that ending was masterful trolling.

Yeah, the show wasn't that great, I'll post a review tomorrow. But it wasn't the worst ever. Dude says that after every PPV, hahaha.

I didn't say it after Money in the Bank, because that was a decent show.

And I didn't say it was the worst ever, but it's certainly one of the worst since I started watching wrestling again four or five years ago.

Crappy PPV but what a surreal night...

Ziggler winning in the main event
Rusev in a world tittle match
Jobbers winning tag-tittles
Hogan backstage apologizing

Kevin Owens getting demolished, Angle threatening Lesnar, Ziggler and Rollins getting sent to OT I wonder if
Steph will comeback soon to fire Angle and replace him with Hogan. Not sure what would happen with Angle
in this scenario maybe manage Jason Jordan or American Alpha?

Also if Hogan is brought back to TV I think Lashley beats Brock at SummerSlam to have a black world champion
to offset any negative publicity.

Biggest pop of the night was Angle saying Lesnar "could" be stripped of the Universal Tittle lol

Ziggler/Rollins could have been great, but it was just horribly booked and the ending was terrible. It also made no sense that the ref only gave one fall to Rollins after McIntyre beat his ass for like three minutes. It's a real shame, because the actual work in the match was quite good, as was expected from these two. **1/2, would have been *** or better had the sudden death not sucked. It was actually impressive to see them follow up a really bad ending (the tie with the heel winning) with an even worse one, though.

Styles/Rusev was definitely the match of the night. Given the stupid ending to Ziggler/Rollins, the fact that this didn't main event is absurd. ***1/2

Jax/Bliss - DUD

Lashley/Reigns - **, this match happened. That's about all to be said about it.

Hell No vs. Bludgeon Brothers - **

Strowman/Owens - **1/2, with the 1/2 mostly being for that bump by Owens.

Nakamura/Hardy - NR. Fine with this, as it's clear Hardy is either taking injury time off or pissed positive and Nakamura really, really needed that.

Carmella/Asuka - DUD. What a horrendous POS this was.

Balor/Corbin - **, inoffensive but totally forgettable.

Hardy & Wyatt vs. The B Team - **, nothing really wrong with it but don't like putting the tag titles on jobbers.

Note: I didn't catch the pre-show, so I don't take those two matches into account. Heard both matches were fine.

---

Overall, the crap just outweighed the good here, and the main event was largely sabotaged by bad booking and a worse ending.

This PPV had no Samoa Joe, Bobby Roode, Miz, Jinder Mahal, Usos, Cesaro, Sheamus, Shelton, Zayn etc
and it really showed especially with all the clunkers

What a terrible PPV but what a weird one also.

We're truly back with the divas era level for womans wrestling. Jax and Bliss was about as bad as expected and Carmella-Asuka was worse.

IC title over the world title? why exactly.

Also putting the tag team title on jobbers.

They need to ditch gimmick PPV's, they really do.
