I feel like this would be a perfectly fine match if it weren't for the feud. These guys are supposed to hate each other...loathe each other...but this match feels like every other match these guys have ever done. It's a blood feud but they're working a normal wrestling match and it just feels off as a result. It feels like they dialed up their intensity one notch when they needed to dial it up five.

This isn't going to be a popular opinion, but I think the yes stuff is prohibiting Bryan from going to another level.

See...a moment with some actual intensity and the crowd totally bought in. Problem is that the bulk of this match wasn't worked like that.

This is another feud going 4-6 months

Yeah, I get that, but these guys are supposed to hate each other. There's nothing I hate more in wrestling than a blood feud where a match starts with two guys locking up, and this match just felt like that. It was two guys working a normal wrestling match when they needed to be working a fight.

I'm fine with that ending, but I'm not fine with that ending right after we just had the same goddamn ending in Styles/Joe.

I just mean two screwjob endings in a row.

I personally think the bigger shows like Summerslam should have minimal finishes like that to begin with, as the big shows should be for wrapping up angles.

can't believe i'm saying this but Braun vs Kevin should have been a preshow and the CW title in the main card if that's what they had in mind.

Owens should be released and he can go sign with New Japan and ROH + Impact. At least their he'd be treated with some damn respect instead of whatever the hell is going on here.

I dunno. In one, the babyface used a weapon and got himself disqualified. In the other, the heel used a weapon and got away with it. It's not really the same finish.

One thing that Brock vs. Reigns has going for it is it "should" be the climax of the feud...

Styles vs. Joe and Miz vs. Bryan is the beginning of long term feuds so the booking is going against the
grain of what fans want and expect. People are accustomed to big PPV's like SummerSlam being the
climax of feuds not the beginning.

They've done this a bit at Wrestlemania as well lately and it's annoying although rematches at Backlash
are somewhat common over the years but usually you get what you wanted at WM and the rematch
was just getting extra juice of a good feud.

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of using the big shows as the jump off point for feuds. They should really either be to end feuds or as a significant story beat in a feud.

And New Day vs. Bludgeon Brothers had a screw job finish

I'm starting to suspect the brand split is the cause for multiple feuds being drawn out over months
like this but it's poor long term planning for so many of them to start at SummerSlam or just be
a bump in the road.

Damn I was just talking about the Demon the other day... This is the Balor I like not the constant smiling
lesbian WWE creative turned him into. This match just went from a bathroom break to interesting. I was
wondering why they thought a match they've given away for free for weeks was on this card.
