Very meh on Gargano vs Ricochet, it feels like filler and smells like to too. We know its Ciampa vs Gargano at the next takeover (or really, they've stuffed up their own long term storyline, Gargano has to really be the winner as a face and win the title, or else what is really the point, the heel would have won overall). As for Ricochet, he needs some kind of long term storyline himself with a rival of his own. Send Crews down even and have them do a program.

What is the actual point of Kassius Ohno in this company? Riddle will murder him though so i guess more Riddle the better.

Tag team title match will be solid, i hope Undisputed Era retain (idk, just never been huge on War Machine even during their New Japan days, might have to do with them cutting the same damn promo for a year).

Glad Blair is getting a chance, best home grown woman to come through NXT since Bayley left in truth, though i can't see a title change here either.

As for the main event, i have a feeling this will be Black's fairwell and he'll go up (i'm worried for him on the main roster, will Vince get him, that's the question).

On paper, its actually kind of weak, but i'm sure it will deliver because it is a takeover show.

Are you really complaining that we're getting Gargano/Ricochet? That could easily be a MOTY.

The Gargano/Chiampa feud is so over played at this point. Like sure, they are going to have a good match but come on...it's starting to get really stale in my opinion. Would just like for it to be done and over with.
Kobe Bryant was asked who he feels is the toughest opponent to guard in the NBA. Instead of picking OKC's Kevin Durant, Bryant went with Portland’s Brandon Roy.

"Roy 365 days, seven days a week. Roy has no weaknesses in his game."

I mean, they haven't had a match together in ages. Yeah, they're still involved in a storyline, but they're not even actively feuding right now. Hell, it's even possible that we could end up getting a heel DIY at some point in the near future if they decide to swerve us and go that route instead of making Johnny a face again.

I agree, Ciampa and Gargano have been in NXT for forever now it seems. I want something fresh/new at the top, I haven't even watched a NXT TV show since the last takeover because I've lost interest in the story. I'm sure this takeover will be incredible, but it's not a good thing when the takeover's are becoming the only thing worth watching. Should've put the title on Dream.

At least they're doing something different with the women's title now, got tired of seeing Baszler/Sane too.

So, what do you guys think is the best match tonight?

My money is on Ricochet/Gargano.

O'Reilly kicked Rowe in the back of the leg but 2 seconds later Rowe was up and doing another move, didn't like that

Great opener though

Man, that was way better than I expected. Fantastic opener. They didn't take the foot off the gas for the entire damn match.

Sam Roberts is getting destroyed on twitter for saying Belair doesn't deserve to be on Takeover and has
zero chance against Shayna on the preshow people are literally worked about this calling him racist and stuff lol

Solid second match there. Was a little slow early but picked up nicely at the end.

Well, unsurprisingly, Ricochet/Gargano ended up being good.

The improvement she's made since her MYC debut is insane. She was solid then but she's just awesome now.
