On paper, I'm not impressed.

A couple good matches, but I know they won't be given the time.

Yeah, Styles/Ricochet might get some real time but Zayn/Black could be a MOTY contender and it's probably going to just be Black hitting Zayn with the Black Mass and winning in ten seconds.

Those are the only two matches I am even remotely interested in, though.

WWE really needs to move on from people like Orton, Natalya, and Ziggler. None of those three is providing anything worthwhile in 2019. Although, to be fair, at least Orton and Ziggler provided something at some point. Natalya has been a waste of roster space ever since the main roster called up some actual good female wrestlers, and she was never anything special prior.

Excited for the name summerslam, not so much for the card lol

Checked the card 3 weeks out and barely anything confirmed, I miss the days when they didn't just book feuds month to month

I will tune in to see the US and SD Women’s title matches. Doubt I’ll watch much more of the show.

I actually like the Gulak vs Lorcan matchup and that can easily be a 5 star match. Too bad they'll probably be given like 5 minutes on the pre-show to work with
Fantasy Hoops/Football/Baseball fans..

For info on a forum that actually talks Fantasy sports and not spammed with soliciting leagues, PM me. The more the merrier !

Yeah, I'm going to watch some of this. Glad to see Goldberg get a shot at redeeming himself.

I don't have any tickets yet for this weekend and I'm only a 15 minute walk from the arena. I'm gonna see
what scalpers are offering for NXT and SummerSlam but if the ticket prices are way above value to what
I perceive them to be (specifically SummerSlam) I won't go. The only major PPVs or shows I've missed in
Toronto History is the Big Event and WrestleMania 6 because I was just a child and couldn't convince my
parents to go.

With that said this is one of the worst and lackluster cards I've seen in SummerSlam history. Outside of
Trish vs. Charlotte and Ziggler vs. Goldberg pretty much every match or feud is recycled from 2017
or we've seen somewhat recently.

The Trish and Goldberg matches were literally thrown together at the last minute and had a one/two week build
and this Roman Reigns angle is so half assed they haven't even finished it in time to announce a match at SummerSlam
and it's been the biggest angle on TV the last 2 weeks.

The only appealing thing for me is to be apart of the "Bizzaro Land" crowd and $hit on the product and piss off Vince.
I also want to boo Becky Lynch as I can't stand her push or her fan base lol

WWE did to Lynch what they do to every other top champ who gets more over than Vince wants them to. She won the belt and then subsequently spent the next four months feuding with people no one gave a crap about and it killed all her momentum. She hasn't had a meaningful feud since Wrestlemania.

They did the same thing to Rollins with that six month (at least it felt that long) feud with Baron Corbin.

The month to month thing.

I’ve long assumed that tv marketing boards direct content as much as anything.

I’m pretty sure their stats say the audience has no attention span and shorter story cycles make the programming more attractive to channels surfers and casuals.

Mind you I long stopped watching.

I don't even care about Beckys booking since Wrestlemania because the womens division is so shallow especially
when it's split in half then you have Rousey and Sasha leaving the company and Nia and Mickie James getting
injured which just makes it more shallow. I actually appreciated that they tried to make a new star out of Lacey
Evans even though she's still green in the ring.

I actually thought WWE was booking Becky right last year and then this Becky phenomenon started and since
I was indifferent to her I gave her a chance and just wanted to see the McMahons push someone the fans
actually liked organically.

What I don't like is "The Man" character not only is it stupid for a woman to call herself that but I hate how she's
trying to be a bad ass like Connor McGreggor/Steve Austin and not only does she not pull it off she just comes across
as a phony and more like a cocky heel as opposed to being the sympathetic underdog who the fans thought deserved
more.

What makes her "The Man" ?

In a legit shoot Rousey, Nia, Natalya and probably Charlotte would destroy her. In the ring theres countless better
female workers then her and on the mic I don't even know if shes in my top 5 for women and look wise she doesn't
look like a big star just an ordinary plain wrestler.

And then her fanbase is among the most annoying entitled whiny fans I've ever seen which make me like her
and her push even less. So if I do go I'll look forward to booing her although ideally the best thing would be
to give her no reaction. I just love that her ego must be hating that the Trish vs. Charlotte match will upstage her lol

So I was at the Summerslam shop checking out what kind of merch they have and Drake Maverick, a Referee and
a camera man come running in the store and Maverick buys a bunch of John Cena gear dresses up like him and
runs away to the autograph area that was restricted by security.

Becky already lost her momentum and uniqueness during the Rousey build. Adding Charlotte didn't help either. It also didn't help that the Wrestlemania main event was underwhelmingly received. I really think the entire women's division took a hit after that, as it coincided with plummeting ratings this spring, and the poor quality of nearly all the women's matches since after Royal Rumble hasn't helped their rep either. To be fair, they also aren't interested in pushing that aspect of the women's division anymore either. It's obvious with the declining TV time and booking focus they get that they are laying off it again and slowly rolling it back to what it was a few years ago again.

Ended up seeing about a quarter of the roster at the hotel lobby last night my friend loves to go and
she likes to get pics for her instagram and stuff like that and I have to play photographer. Pretty much
everyone was cool especially guys like Kofi, Elias, R-Truth, Christian etc. Strowman told everyone no
pictures but he signed a ton of peoples autographs.

Always surprised by the height of some wrestlers I always throught Strowman was around 6'9 and he's
more like 6'5 or 6'6. Elias and Christian are around 5'10 and AJ Styles is probably around 5'8. Mojo Rawley,
Titus O'Neil, Baron Corbin and Luke Gallows are legit monsters. My friend is a casual fan so she didn't want
her pics with the 205 Live guys, Mauro Ranallo, the new blonde backstage reporter etc. She also called
Baron "Bray" but he was cool with it. Kairi Sane is almost totally unrecognizable without makeup and not
being all dolled up. Ziggler was walking around in gimmick holding hands with some chick. EC3, Drake Maverick
and some other guys were all dressed up like they were going to a club.

The biggest story was HBK... a couple of fans saw him walk in the lobby and approached him and he made
eye contact with them and literally ran away while wearing a heavy backpack lol. Also saw the Miz sign one
autograph then blow off the others. There was only around 20 or so fans hanging out in the lobby.

Ended up getting SummerSlam tickets for tomorrow with her in the lower bowl for $176 I hope I don't regret
this. Supposed to go to NXT tonight with another friend gonna get some tickets at the box office before we
get there.
